    Rumor and speculation suggests, that
BZ or AJ could be leaving us in the Jan transfer window. There also seems to be a
lot of discontent on the QPR board, over this seasons performances by
    Taarabt.
My question would the FFC fans like him at the cottage, the
deal being done on some sort of swap basis, with either of the aforementioned.

Personally, I have somewhat of an open mind on the subject, but
something tells me that if it were so,and his form returned,he could
still be a disruptive element within the team.
Or is he a class player at championship level.

No I wouldn't buy or swap for Taarabt. I can't see were he would fit in.
Reminds me of Fabrice Fernandes, bit of luxury to have in your team when things go wrong.

I would think some team like Newcastle would go for Zamora if he went on sale in January, they have the cash to pay the wages he would want and pay us a decent fee.

I can see AJ sticking around until the summer to go on a free, to one of the promoted clubs for one last pay day. May be QPR would give us a fee in January if they need him.

Interesting point Rosca. At the end of last season getting rid of BZ would have been an absolute disaster in my opinion but I am somewhat undecided this term so far. A big player for us in deed when he is on form but appears a bit nonchanlant when in a sulk. Interestingly though I think he played up front on his own yesterday and we scored 2 goals, 1 of which BZ created. He was at his best when AJ was injured, so may be he needs to be up top on his own, perhaps that is the compromise that MJ has to make to get the team playing ?????

As for a swap deal on Taarabt, I would leave the guy well alone. A very good player, true, but another player best suited to the hole, where we have so many players already. He also seems to have an ego the size of Barton's criminal record. No thanks.

    What Froggy said.

Taarabt is about as far away from Fulhamish as can be imagined, and he's yet to do anything on the PL stage. He's a little brat as well, and as fickle as they come. I remember a recent quote from Warnock where he pointed out he said during the summer he'd never play for his country again - then played and scored for them in the last international break, even kissed the badge. No thanks.

Why would we want Taarabt? No chance of him fitting in.

When I read this article I knew there would be a 'fulhamish' comment with Taraabt. I don't see him fitting in at all.

On the BZ subject, remember when we accepted an offer from Hull and Bobby rejected it? What a disaster that would have been. How many strikers can you get for 5 million with Bobbys quality?

Buying Taraabt: no. If we're worried at the moment about players falling out with Jol, why would we want to add the highly volatile (read 'spoilt child') Taraabt to the mix?

Selling AJ: If we can get a fee of any kind, it's worth selling him in January rather than seeing him walk in the summer. If we don't sell him, he'll still do a decent job for us in the meantime.

Selling Bobby: if he isn't going to see out the next few years here, then January or at a stretch the summer is the time to sell to get the best return for him. If we do that, it's only good business if we can also sign a suitable replacement. Selling Saha for squillions was only good business because we then picked up McBride for peanuts. If we can get a good, younger replacement for less (even if it's only slightly less) than we get for Bobby, I could live with it. It would be a shame though, as he's always been one of my favourites, even before he signed for us.

One thing I do know: we simply cannot sell both AJ and Bobby in January. If anyone, sell the former, Bobby plays better without AJ anyway.

I don't want to see Bobby go, Bidley, but we can sell both in January - as long as we also replace them properly. It all depends on who is coming in as well as who is going out. That said, I agree that the best option would be to sell - and replace - AJ, and to keep Bobby. We could always look to sell him in the summer if Jol feels that Bobby doesn't fit with his plans or there is a better option available.

I'd still be very hesitant - we're having problems gelling as a team as it is, I'm not sure getting shot of what is essentially our entire forward line and bringing in an entire new one would do us any favours. Besides, what better options are there out there? Jol may have his contacts on the continent but if we brought two more in with no PL experience then we'd be in trouble. It could possibly be plausible, but I don't want to see that situation arise.

to lose either in January would cause us big problems. In my view we are still lightweight up front. Its not been addressed. Ok we have not seen Sa all that often but this is the premiership and to lose your front 2 in Jan would be suicidal in my book. Who else fills the AJ role? We do not have an abundance of strikers. We need to add rather than let go in my book.

My only example will be on Sunderland selling Bent last January. They struggled big time loosing their key striker. I don't think Bobby will be going anywhere before summer. The club will be expecting to cash in his value especially if he is to be called up for England. Unless another striker can be found. Thus I was in favour of getting Bendtner in the summer transfer window. Sa is not the player that can lead our attack.

AJ might be offloaded to QPR subject to a good fee. His workrate is very high and appreciated but we did well without him, not so well without Bobby...

As folks have said, the key is ensuring a good replacement (ie an improvement).

Whilst I like both Bobby and AJ, I can see the case for changing at least one. We need to heed the caveats and be sure of someone at least as good and younger coming in. 'Arry's touting Pavlyuchenko, but I bet he'll want big money (I don't know what age Pav is either).

I was thinking more of that striker that we had a deal agreed for, but his club couldn't get a replacement in so it fell through. The one who said how impressed he was by the club and Jol after being wined and dined by Jol and his wife. I posted about him before and couldn't remember his age and someone had to tell me. I think I'm getting old.

Why would we want someone who hasn't proved he can make it in the premiership? Why not give our own youngsters a chance? Trotta is banging them in for the reserves and Dalla Valle scored again for Dundee Utd at the weekend - could have been AJ; here are the highlights

Was injured later but apparently nothing to worry about.

Andres Gignac is on 25 aswell he's a very good player. He's more of a BZ type of player he's powerful and great in the air.

When we tried to loan him was it as a BZ replacement?
