Could be a blessing in disguise for the torys - no one was voting for Boris after all the lies but equally no one is voting labour after corbyn's clusterfuck - depending on who they bring in as his replacement will mean potentially another 5 years or tory rule...

Think Rishi Sunak will be front and centre for the the new tory leader - personally I'm hoping some one can come up with a centrist party who people can actually get behind and vote for. Lib Dems are a wasted vote, labour are on their knees after JC and no one trusts a tory and the rest are "also rans" so this is the best time for a new party to try and unite the central right and left and barge in on the party.

Forget him. It’ll take him months to get his plot together

Bet it would take less time than it will to find enough competent people in the entire building to make a half decent government.

Going to be another ****ing bint isn't it? See this is where the Saudi's are actually proved correct in their thinking. They don't have to worry that their leaders are thinking if they left the oven on, left the washing machine on, left the washing drying in the back garden when it might rain, how long they'll be stuck behind some numpty searching their purse for coupons in the supermarkets or trying to work out if their gash leaking is a period, a bit of piss or a little seepage caused by BoJo's Old Spice.

Don't make me put the idea of Maggie Thatcher and Theresa May's Gash's getting wet at the thought of Boris's throbber in your head.

    Enjoy your dinner <laugh>

    Agree with this.

His departure is the right thing for the party, but also the right thing for the country more importantly.

Politics will be quite interesting again now with the leadership thing and news due soon on Starmer and Rayner and a potential fine (I expect no fine to materialise).
I'd personally favour either Truss or Sunak for the leadership.

Overall it may strengthen the tories if they pick the right person as the choice in 2 years at the ballot box will be either a new Tory leader (albeit it with the fallout from Boris hanging over them).... a Labour party still split into Pro Corbyn and Anti Corbyn and the third option is the Fib Dems and their 15 or so seats so its still sadly a 2 horse race.
