No chance, i never ever even considered him for the position long term, i think he served a purpose and is now of no more use.
Oh come off it Diego, I bet you thought he'd be great "for the bantz". Fwiw I'd love Moggy to become PM, he'd last less time that Bojo and May. It'd be like ever decreasing circles for the years in office.
Mogg won’t too close to Johnson. oh on your other point is most people want a proper pm, one that’s not going to be a robbing **** who seems set on ruining the country. If that means the Torys stay in power so be it. Pretty much anything is better than the situation we have currently.
I actually called it wrong with Boris. I thought he was good comedy value, but my prediction was that he saw it was a short term ego trip to feed his future moves to milk the system similar to how Blair has. I thought he was off the minute he'd get brexit through, and I thought covid scuppered his plans, but subsequent events have shown he really seems to want to hang about in 'power'.
Anyone that takes politics and politicians seriously, doesn't understand how the Country is run, and misses out on some hoofing comedy.
He got slagged off for allegedly sleeping on the job, if you watch his face throughout the whole thing he was listening to every word.
Some people live in bubble, searching for headlines that they think support their preconceptions. That and the mood swings from depression to euphoria to rage and tears are very much signs of mental illness.
The Recess is an adjournment of business set in the Westminster calendar as beginning 21st July. You may recall what happened when he tried to prorogue Parliament early. He will probably not be able to call a General Election in the middle of summer either with a huge majority as he requires the monarch’s permission to dissolve Parliament and several precedents exist for it not being allowed. Boris is not going to be quitting because he is a narcissist who, in his own mind, is some sort of Churchillian figure. Margaret Thatcher resigned when several long-standing reliable ministers told her that she could not win a leadership vote. Boris has surrounded himself with sycophants that he deemed would be no threat to his position. Ultimately this has destroyed his government as it fails to deliver on policy and has even failed to complete his key election pledge, “Get Brexit Done”. Once Parliament has risen for the summer, both the Conservatives and Labour might be leaderless. There was an article in the Telegraph last week about how the Tories were plotting to get rid of Boris. The 1922 Committee, which controls leadership elections, is up for re-election and supporters of the likes of Jeremy Hunt are planning to stuff it with anti-Boris MPs. They can then add a new rule that will force a leadership election if the Committee receives more than 25 per cent letters of no confidence and will not be time limited. Since more than 40 per cent of MPs voted against Boris last time, getting 25 per cent to force a new vote should be no problem. So Dead Man Walking Johnson will be gone in a couple of months as well as Charisma-less Starmer. That will probably still leave us with two parties that no-one wants to elect.
It goes to show only that you are a Stupid ****. You voted for the worst PM in British history became you are a gormless brainwashed brain dead flag shagging ****wit. You deserve everything you get, but the rest of us don’t, so please remember to wear your special **** Hat when you go out in public, so passers by can pelt you with rotten fruit and dogshit. You stupid ****.
So let me get this right, those clever Tories, 3 weeks after a vote of confidence was passed, and before the Pincher scandal, decide to plot to oust him by getting another confidence vote by changing the rules so that even LESS MPs put in letters than those who had failed to dethrone him. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKK.
