I dont get to the games these days but listened to BBC radio match report who described Heskeys elbow which took out Mig as a swinging arm as he jumped, havent heard anyone say it was deliberate and thought MOTD last night might show the incident but they didnt, was it an accident, or just Heskey being lucky and getting away with one, comments anyone.
if waving your arms about when jumping for the ball, isnt it a yellow card regardless of malicious or not? dangerous play or something similar?
It is if you have a Sunderland shirt on mate, didn't see much wrong with it to be fair as said one of those things.
Pretty sure it is considered dangerous play, the same way as sticking your foot in the air too high is. When challenging for the ball, your arms should be kept, as much as possible, by your sides. Its a rule designed to stop injuries exactly like Mignolet's (accidental or not). It should result in a indirect freekick and a warning to the player who was waving his arms about. maybe not a yellow if accidental, but definitely a free kick and a talking to.
Read that after red wine. Thought it said heskey's eyebrow. Wouldn't mind but I contributed earlier! x
