sort of.... it was a cod type pub but one guy was actually impressed with our cheek. during the sky interviews when we started singing city songs things werent so amicable but it was just banter thankfully. some of what i used to call the fanzine lot had joined us in there.
a lot of the fulham fans rated him, but silva didnt share that view. he did give the ball away a lot despite being able to play some fantastic passes. and he was often easily dispossessed due to his size. if he can be bothered he will be a great buy for city. but i remember games like peterborough away for fulham he often went missing. back end of the season he was mostly sub for them. but the players seemed to like him. hopefully at city he will be appreciated more and i think the odd cuddle gets the best out of some players.
Vedat Muriqi will sign for Club Brugge this week for a fee €10.5 million plus add ons. The Kosovan will earn €2 million per year.
That's what I don't get. Most seem to talk of him as if he was their star / key man, yet as you say he was a sub a fair bit. A step up for us (versus as of late) but how good is he really?
He started 26 games for them, made a further 7 sub apps. Fulham also had Cairney, Reed, Chalobah and Onomah fighting for that spot which is probably why they won the league so convincingly. For context he started the 2nd most out of them
Of course he didn't look happy when you bumped into him and said 'sorry Shota', it was actually Marc Almond you silly duffer.
Newcastle in talks with Everton over Anthony Gordon for £35M. Could open the KLP door again for Everton.
Er no I shouted at him from my car.. lol we had a quick conversation but I’m sworn to secrecy as to what I was told !!!!
https://www.fulhamish.co.uk/post/2022-05-25-why-releasing-seri-was-the-right-decision/ This was an excellent article
The most encouraging line - 'We may be swapping a Rolls-Royce for a Volvo, but we’re going to need a dependable engine to get us through next season'.
Yeah the reassuring element of that article is that it's not a "He's rubbish, good riddance" sort of article, it's a "He's brilliant, but here's his flaws and why it's not so bad he's gone".
Fulham just bought João Palhinha from Sporting so they improved in that area and we are glad to take Seri.
Oh god I wish I only had his flaws, a magician in the middle that doesn’t like a tackle, he’s not on his own there is he. I cannot wait to see him up close and personal, could be my favourite player this season
Seri seems more like a deep-lying playmaker than anything else. Still think we need a ****house defensive midfielder with some physicality to play next to Seri. Our midfield wasn't particularly imposing to begin with but now that George and Smallwood have gone, we're desperate for someone who likes a tackle and protects the back four. I don't think Slater, Tufan or Seri fit that role.
