Heseltine spitting truth. Although as this board proves there are still seemingly rational people clinging to the belief that Brexit is or will be good, apparently unaware or ignoring the deception that has befallen them.

Boris clinging to power in these circumstances surely has to be the final wake up call for even the most deluded Tory voter hasn't it? What more can he do to prove he's serving himself and himself only.

If you seriously don't know, it's Penny Mordaunt, Secretary of State for Trade, and one of the front runners to replace Boris Johnson

Just as Andy Burnham is front runner to replace Lord Keir

My God! It's been 6 years. 6 years!!!! Still you're whining about Brexit.
It's happened. It's time to make the best of it, whether it's struggling or becoming better, we need to move on, with it.

Brexit, and the fallout from it, is very much a fact of current political life. Do you really think no one should mention it?

Agree and disagree with this. I agree that a lot of problems have been caused, or at least worsened by Brexit. I'm not at all pro-Brexit, but have come to accept that it has happened and now the UK has to make the best of the situation. It can certainly be mentioned, but it can't be held responsible for every problem the UK faces for years to come. There comes a point when the country needs to move on. Without wanting to make light of it...for most of you it means facing some economic problems...for me, it means I might end up getting a French passport. I'll become French. :emoticon-0138-think

We'll all chip in for your white flag. Or is your tricolore already white on one side in case of invasion?

Brexit isn't even 'done' yet, though - the NI problem still has to be resolved. Ho do you just 'move on'?

Can’t even talk about Sunak now as that was a whole day ago and we have to move on.

Interesting observations there. I noted the look of mild irritation and that most pathetic of all put downs along the lines "I did have other things to think about at the time". Guess what you arrogant prick? (That's me to our beloved leader by the way) Being honest is not something you have to think about. It should come naturally. The other thing he tried to blag was to blame his Cabinet colleagues by saying that he was fed up with people speaking for him and getting it wrong. I wonder who told them to do that and who told them that he genuinely didn't know anything about anything that happens in Downing Street. Strange that it should have taken three almighty explosions (the senior civil servant as well) for him to come clean. Sort of. In that stuttering oh so funny blustering way in which he speaks when replying to a question which could simply be answered with a simple yes or no.
