This would get me excited, one of the best prospects in Europe. Leeds also want him so we probably don’t have much chance
I am sure I read that he had turned down Leeds. But then there is a story of them bidding for him time stamped an hour or so ago so perhaps not I still can’t get my head around how much cash they can throw around. Even with the sales - which are their first two since covid. Their net spend since 2020 is 162m - counting all to date (so not Adams in or Raphinha out). This will go up if they sign Adams and the two attackers they are linked with (this guy above and the winger)
Better than the owners coming out and saying they are investing £100m+ etc and then clubs knowing they can over charge us
We were and they are. The sustainable financial model and the conveyor belt approach to young talent is still there. The only change - and it was made clear at the point of sale - is that we don’t have to raise funds through sales before we buy. We will still have to sell players to balance the books ( wages play a key role here as well)
Agreed. I think this was the fundamental problem of selling first. Clubs knew exactly what we had to spend.
This guy is so exciting. He does all the things that we would want from a forward and he’s a big, strong boi. Still lives at home with his mother. I think he’s beyond our reach but this highlight reel of his performance against PSG shows why he’s so in demand. If he came here it would for sure be a two year apprenticeship before moving to one of the giants.
Sounds like he's turned down Leeds at 35m euros, in order to progress the Milan offer, so I don't see us doing this, unless Tom (or Mark Lawrenson) says we have no chance.
Bergwijn to Ajax for £25m, would’ve liked him here but probably never an option at that price and Ajax interest
Would be a foolish move for him. There are probably a dozen clubs that will pay that where he will actually start games. Surely a spurs he will be firmly number 2 to Kane
