It would appear that West Ham's 4100 ticket allocation for the Circle was priced at £24 for an adult. Strangely, Barnsley's equivalent for tomorrow is £30!!!!!!!

Can't Hull City (the club that is) stick up for its fans for a change after the previous profiteering of Leeds, Ipswich and Donny?

The half Scotsman/half Yorkshireman inside me is sorely tempted to protest with my feet.

    Nothing short of a scandal!!!!!!!

What can our club do? It's not us charging £30, it's Barnsley.

The main problem I have is that no other club offers the 16-22 price band for away supporters. A mate of mine is paying £14 to go to the West Ham game in the away stand whilst I just paid £25 for the Forest game. If I was a year younger it would have been £12, it's a ridiculous difference in price.

We got charged £30 for Barnsley too. I went their last season and only paid £22 so £8 jump is alot. Some fans even boycotted Barnsley this season because of the increase

It's not down to the club, it's down to the fans. I'm sick of hearing football fans bleating about the price of tickets, kits, pies, beer, etc and then buying it anyway. If you don't agree with something, don't buy it. That's the only way anyone will get the message.

It's a simple answer; do the same to their fans when all 200 of them roll up at the KC.

Barnsley are not just screwing us, they're screwing themselves, their attendances have fallen off a cliff. Their highest attendance this season was just over 10,000, their average attendance is now only just above that of Donny and Peterborough.

They're a **** team, in a **** ground and they're going nowhere, I'm happy to pay £30 just so I can go along and laugh at them. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I appreciate where you're coming from but the reason people still pay it is because they love their club, it doesn't take away the right to moan.
Half of the away tickets every year are overpriced, but we still go because if we didn't, the only result would be that we didn't get to see the game. There's no point in making a stand if you have to sacrifice away days.

Although I agree with you on pies and drinks etc (just eat before the match and take a drink!) I don't feel you can apply the same rule to tickets.

I love the club as much as anyone but I'm not going. You have to take a stand somewhere. Otherwise we'll always get ripped up. Football is so emotive, that's the problem.

I wasn't suggesting you don't, I was merely suggesting the stance of other supporters.

We all take our stance in different ways I will travel from Cambridge stay in Hull and go by coach I took my stance by e mailing the club and doing a written protest as I think dialogue should be first they chose not to respond perhaps we need a banner at the game something like high ticket prices keep fans out

If we get tonked there, Im blaming you OLM!

I've never understood footballing pricing. Where I work are a few MK Dons fans, they were telling me its £1.90 for a kit kat! I was like "gimme a break!" But yeah, simple answer is, dont eat at the ground I guess.

Im not a business man but surely if these clubs charged less to get in, more would go, thus on aggregate, increase their income and thus profits, similar to how places like Tesco operate?

It really ****s me off, because I play football on Sat and Sun so can't get to any weekend games, plus being in Sheffield, tues night games against someone like Barnsley are perfect, but 30 quid is outrageous, I remember paying less than 30 quid to watch us at White Hart Lane.....I really want to vote with my feet, but as I don't get to watch City as often as I'd like find myself destined to go....

LOL. I always wondered why people eat pies/hot dogs and stuff at 3pm. If I've had a couple of pints, ok you want a pie, but with prices as they are, do we need 4 meals a day?

This would usually be a definite away game for me been so close but I think it's time to take a stand against ridiculous prices and I'm not going and have informed barnsley football club why

It saddens me to miss watching my team but unless fans vote with their feet nothing will change

LOL, Seriously we'll not be spending a penny in the ground, no programme, no pies and no drinks. We'll take something with us!

Given Chesires thoughts, I might also have a careless pee!
