Morning all. No idea how the new lads will fit in and neither does anybody else if they're being honest. A big priority for me was not going into another season either without a centre forward or relying on a crocked Bamford, If there isn't a proper goalscorer introduced, around the 15 games a season quality, then Ill worry

Emu, cool your jets…… we have not got rid of anyone, they wanted to move.
Philips deserves to step up with a top four club, and not many blame him.
As for cry baby Raphinha, he was going nowhere when applying his trade in France, we brought him to the PL, put him in a position where he got capped for Brazil, now he wants to jump ship, I say if you want away then gtf, nobody is irreplaceable, let’s cash in and move on.

Hi bud - you got some inside info you want to share?

As long as it isn't the same source that gave you the Phillips to scum exclusive you could be onto something :emoticon-0148-yes:

I read Sinisterra was only signing on a 2 year deal, which would be insane. Does anyone know if that's correct?

I'm OK with Rapha going. I'm OK with Phillips going at a push.

I'm just a little cautious of letting both top scorers leave (if Harrison should go) and our only midfielder who is able to play at this level also leaves.

I watched Saltzberg v Bayern Munich and Aaronson gave them plenty of concern in both legs, so I think the likes of him can handle PL, plus none of our players have played CL so that’s going to be a big step up for the likes of Philips don’t you think.

hmmm I see that the FA have now decided to act, given that the season is over.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62050373

Tottenham Hotspur's summer signing Richarlison will miss the first Premier League game of the season after receiving a one-match ban due to a flare incident in May.

The 25-year-old forward threw a flare during former club Everton's crucial 1-0 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park.

As well as the ban, Richarlison has been fined £25,000 by an independent regulatory commission.

The Brazilian admitted his behaviour was improper.

It was a breach of Rule E3, which covers improper conduct. Pyrotechnics are banned from football stadiums in England.

Richarlison threw the flare as a celebration for scoring the winner over Thomas Tuchel's side, which aided the club in staying in the top flight.

Frank Lampard's team came close to relegation last season, staying up in part because of Richarlison's 10 goals and five assists in what proved to be his final campaign at Goodison.

It was announced earlier in July the forward has signed for Tottenham on a five-year deal.

I'm excited to see the new lads perform. We've had a good window.

In a perfect world we'd have got rid of Klich and brought in Adams. Got rid of Roberts and brought in Aaronson. Got rid of James and brought in the lad from Feyenoord.

Isn’t this the best way of going about it though?

Get the targets in now while they’re available and then get rid of anyone surplus to requirements.

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has launched an investigation into two first division matches that finished with scorelines of 91-1 and 95-0.

The West African country’s football governing body confirmed it was investigating officials and players who were involved in two Eastern Regional Super 10 League fixtures that saw Gulf FC beat Koquima Lebanon 91-1 and Lumbenbu United beaten 95-0 by Kahula Rangers.

The SLFA said the results were “impractical” and promised “zero tolerance” of any “match manipulation”.

A statement said: “In compliance with FIFA and CAF rules against match manipulation or anything of sort, SLFA maintains zero tolerance. “The general public is therefore assured that the said matter will be thoroughly investigated and anyone found culpable will face the full force of the law.”

If confirmed, the two scorelines would rank among the highest recorded in football history. The highest is thought to have occurred in Madagascar in 2002 when AS Adema beat SO l’Emyrne 149-0. The SO l’Emyrne players intentionally scored one own goal after another in protest over refereeing decisions with which they disagreed.

In a perfect old we would have sold those players instead of the ones we have sold.

I realise we aren't in a perfect world so Phillips and Raphinha are gone. That's fine. I think it woul be over risky to also tell Harrison he can leave.

It’s driving me nuts. A team of false nines ffs. Let’s just get the out and out striker in. We know more goals would have have had us safe before the season run in.
