I think a lot of the doubt comes from the fact that he is next level good. And the distrust of the rumour mill. There have been fairly strong rumours recently though that he would be open to initial talks to hear first hand how ambitious the clubs plans are.
I've never seen him play like but he would appear to be a younger better version of ASM, but left footed.
PSG are linked to everyone to be fair. But I agree, think we'll end up with someone a little cheaper and more transitional in their quality level.
They want to build a squad that can get into the top 8 and then it'll be time to add the big names. A strong 11 but no depth won't improve anything at this point. Players get injured and the results and performances would be inconsistent. It's a strong squad that gets you into the top half from where the side already is.
Who said it was you? It was "some people", "the people", "some of our fans". He reminds me of one of my ex-bosses who got up in a meeting with a State Oil Company, after we had been working on a project which involved some training of their staff, and said "You have some good staff and some who are not so good". They asked him to provide a list of the not so good ones. When he didn't they asked for him to be kicked off the project.
Fun Fact - Your join date was 1065 days ago, and you've 76,884 messages (so far)... meaning you average at 72 a day! That is some ****ing going!
I don't disagree entirely, but if they have a chance to get him, they should as he's an exceptional talent. We've backup if he gets injured, and though it's maybe not as strong as we'd like, we can go again in January. I'd much rather we feel al little thin on depth of quality for a short while if it means bagging the right players.
Erm, Are we talking about Chaos here? As in, we all aspire to be Chaos? If so, I have a feeling you may have read the room wrong
Would like to see what he could do here - think he looks like ASM 2.0 but with more end product. Could be hella exciting with those two on the wings running at full backs. Would stop teams doubling up on ASM as well. 32 games 13 goals 12 assists last year - I'd be amazed if a) we got him, with a return like that he must be on some big teams lists and b) he could do that in the EPL... only one way to find out though....
One permanent signing, on a big fee - yes. But there are a few frees, loans that can be done. They wont be looking to flood a squad, that was going very, very well, with a complete new line-up - needs to be gradual... the depth will come, but if we can get a top player in and have the RW backup we have already (Miggy / Fraser) or maybe even move one of those on, then I think that's got to be the goal. If you end up with stop gap players, we might soon outgrown them, then you're tied to them...
