You're right Marcus, makes for some good betting mind. A lot of their fans lack perspective and will lump on India whenever a couple of the opposition wickets fall. Funny enough that can happen in a test match! Properly distorts the odds to make it attractive to bet on whoever they're playing. Assuming you don't think India are going to hammer them of course! When I had more time would watch whole test matches and wait my moment to bet while enjoying the cricket. Odds go nuts, lump on and win over the piece. I would say NZ and India are opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of perspective and appreciation of others playing good cricket, it's interesting. They are good on their day mind, some lovely batsmen
Agree with everything you say cricket wise… Have zero idea in betting but might have a look now you’ve said it!
What is it with us and getting teams 5 wickets down for around 100 runs then letting them off the hook
IMO a couple of things. The later spells of Broad and Anderson now, especially Broad, are not really threatening. And we don't have real pace or serious spin, which both unsettle lower order batsmen. That said, Jadeja is hardly a typical no. 7. He is outstanding. The brain freeze this morning was disappointing to see. Broad might have bowled himself out of the side with that bag of medium pace, " hit me" bouncers, wides, full tosses and no balls. Awful. Really surprised Stokes didn't bowl Potts.
100 up for JB , if only Stokes could have played like Billings we would have given India a fright. even so anything's possible .
Need to roll them for under 100 to stand a chance, This might just be a game too far for the ultra attacking approach
Indian bowlers a cut above really. Much quicker, and a threat with the older ball. Jimmy still skilfull enough to threaten and Potts looks handy, but Broad looks short now. Still a decent game mind, but we really need a couple of the fast bowlers fit . For years it's been the bowlers digging us out of bother, now we are looking to a couple of the middle order to do it with the bat.
As amazing as they have been, I don't think we can afford to play Broad and Jimmy. I'm a huge Broad fan, and he keeps proving me wrong but I'd be moving him aside for the South Africa series if one of the quicks is fit and available.
Yep. Okay to have them around, maybe one in the team. But they are getting on and the workload will tell. Is telling. We have to do more of what we did with Matty Potts. They won't all come off, but young players have to be tried out.
As long as Jimmy is taking wickets then I think we have to play him. 5-60 in the first innings suggests he still has plenty to offer
