Am I right in thinking they only have 4 sets of inters? So if they used 1 in fp1 then they only have 1 per quali session!!! Good job it looks dry for tomorrow!
So pole was 1:40.9 by Carlos. Just watched George and Johnny H playing round silverstone. George did a dry lap in a London black cab in 2:03!!! So only 23 seconds slower than an F1 car in the wet!!! Vid here:
Merc cool down lap screwed them....think it'll be close tomorrow. Apparently merc cooled down to prep for a strat 2 run (fastest setting) as used only strat 3 before.... But tyres cooled too much and took the advantages away.
They were all just circling constantly on drying/not drying track Imo not really had the battery juice to complete real flying laps. They were just improving on grip.
Could see Drugovich becoming the next F2 champ to win the title but fail to get an F1 seat. Third season in F2 against fairly unimpressive opposition, I don't think he's part of a junior program, and there's no obvious openings for next season - if Latifi goes it'll be for someone with F1 experience presumably?
I would love to know what top speed he was getting out of a London cab !! Did they record him through the speed trap?

Just watching the 'parade laps' Lando being brave and jumping off the moving car to speak to F1 camera crew and crowd. Looks like KMag is only one to be driving . Looks a little chilly, rain part way through the race could be fun, well for us watching at home, maybe not so much for those there in the rain. Don't forget to post picys!!!!
