Apparently toy his agent has said he will be away if he doesn’t start. if this IS true then bye Dubs. no player has a right to a place in the starting 11 IMHO.
Look at his fitness record. I don't think he can realistically complain. Maybe we should sell him and bring in Hennessy or Johnstone as backup, both are on a free. You'd probably get a good £10m+ for Dubs.
Dubz needs competition. I always thought that Darlow wasn't really in the same class. IMO Dubz will rise to the situation, but whatever, both keepers will get games.
Now that there is 5 subs and game is won no reason why you couldn't sub the keeper to give him game time.
Not for me, I reckon they're probably about same at shot stopping (Pope may just edge it), both equally as **** at distribution, but Pope is way better at claiming crosses and commanding his area.
Darlow is nowhere near the same class, and certainly will never be a first choice Prem keeper. Dubravka is the best keeper we've had in my lifetime... which isn't saying much tbh, as Given was frequently overrated, Krul average and Harper a perrenial bench warmer. Our Pavel comes close to Dubravka tbh. That said Dubravka can be error prone, and certainly needs Pope rather than Darlow as competition.
I agree and the thing is all keepers make a few errors you just tend to only watch your own keeper for 90 mins every game.
I think Pope is better than Dubz but it all depends on what you want or see in a keeper. Dubz distribution is terrible and he doesn’t command the box well. But he is a good stopper. Pope is more an all rounder for me.
