No problem with loan to buy deals, providing that the caveats are relating to what the actual player achieves as opposed to the club.

All the JKA deal needed on top of what was already agreed, was something along like make 10 appearances for us, play 500 minutes or score 10 goals and would have saved all the palaver of the last few years

 

Yeah sounds well strange as we were told Leipzig would refuse to deal with Leeds again. However in some respects it makes sense if you want to get more money. For example a £5m loan fee and then a guaranteed buy at a £5m premium over todays value means £15m player is sold for a total of £25m a year later. The loan helps Leeds like it did with Harrison who should have cost £8m but ended up costing £11m plus 3 loan fees?

Barca are willing to offer €50M + variables for Raphinha but Leeds prefer to sell to Spurs or Chelsea- both of whom offer €70M. However, the player is pushing for Leeds to accept Barca’s offer.
