It's all gone a bit quiet on the 'Kiko leaving' front - and I suspect we may need to concentrate more on the left back position if the rumours about Kamara are true.
Schizotransferphrenic: Ages we have ages all will work out, then ¿When is this massive rule of 11 overhaul happening? We have one bloody month till the season starts!
Think so but gets his wages off the wage bill . Although it seems we have a but back clause IF we get promoted!
Moussa Sissoko bye! Buy back clause, he was RUBBISH and yes better rubbish than others but RUBBISH. Thought he was out of contract mind, so surprised we got any dough for him!
I think it was a relegation clause and clearly the club like him if they are considering getting the guy back if we go up ..
Watford are interested in signing Cagliari midfielder, Nahitan Nández. The 26-year-old Uruguayan, made 21 appearances in Serie A last season.
I am becoming somewhat confused. I know that Sissoko is leaving, but how would this prospective signing help the club to follow the 'rule of 11'? Watford have also been linked with a striker (named Rey Manaj) from Barcelona. It is good that the club are trying to sign so many home-grown players!
Where are the young home grown players going to come from? I suspect that the Pozzo scouting network is geared to finding them from abroad far more than in England. The largest clubs hoover up the best young talent in England, and can afford to pay them even if they do not get much game time. The smaller clubs are looking for loans from these teams, but this is to help develop the player, and not to provide a promotion push for a lower league side. Watford have about 15 young players on their books who are 17 years old, but how many of them are ready for first team football?
Bit of an excuse to sell a player who wanted to leave in Cucho and another they clearly didn't fancy in Zinckerngal? I mean surely there are other non home grown players we'd rather get rid of from a footballing ability point of view. Anyway people seem to know more about these players than me and any new player has to be given a chance to show his worth.
I'm confused too - having watched a fair bit of Serie A last season, I don't understand why we would want to sign a player who was far from impressive in a side that was relegated. But maybe he, and the Albanian from Barcelona, are just rumours which will come to nothing. I can't remember how the 'rule of eleven' works - or how many & who we already have that will fit the bill - but I'm assume that the club hierarchy have a handle on it. With today being the end date for a lot of player contracts, I'm hoping that tomorrow will see the start of a few more outs, leading to a couple of ins - with the latter being of a home grown nature.
Seems to get mixed reviews elsewhere - played in a number of positions but also injured a lot. Fit right in then!
