I like Match of the Day 2 with Lee Dixon. He's probably one of the most intelligent pundits around. Very intelligent player. And that's the problem. We always pick the English players and it's rare to get a smart one like Dixon. In ten years time you could see John Terry or Steven Gerrard on the sofa. That's where we go wrong.

<laugh> I have been busy, plus we have had a lot to talk about on our board recently. Hope things are less crazy now there aren't constant fights between KPR and UIR! MOTD2 did try to shake it up a year ago, but they tried to make it in to a lighthearted programme and now we have to endure their terrible, forced, PC banter a well as their stupid clips of players in cartoon form. I definitely agree with you that some genuine experts should be brought in.

For me the best pundit in British football television is Souness, has some interesting opinions and is not afraid to share them. In France they have Wenger as a commentator! Why can't we have someone like him?

The one I thought was more blatant was Matas 2 handed push on Santos before crossing the ball for their 1st goal. That one should definitely have been goven, but to be fair there was a similar one that the Chelsea players complained about later that wasnt given either.

Chesney should never have been given a red card. he was pulling out of the challenge, his studs were not up, his foot was about 3 inches off the ground an he was not the last man. It was a good call by the ref and lino who I thought were a bit more lenient with Chelsea for the smaller decision, but 2 of which resulted in them getting goals.

Chesney carefully avoided Cashley. But clever Cashley at the last moment stuck a leg across Chesney's path to make sure there was contact.
Superb pro foul gained - but ultra cynical.

You miss the ball and hit the other player, Its a foul. Seen it happen hundreds of times for Arsenal players, so why complain when others do it to you?

Oh, and on topic. I would say that Chelsea were awful. Honestly your goals were down to their horrible, horrible defending.

That's not to take away from a fantastic win at Stamford Bridge, but nobody can look at yesterday's game and say "Whelp, Chelsea played well but were outplayed by Arsenal" when they played awful and you guys had the ability to cash in from their mistakes.

You beat what is put infront of you. Awful Chelsea defending got them the beating they deserved.

agreed - that is what I said in other entries. We happily took advantage of crap from millionaires who didn't deliver.

Coming from a Newcastle fan, Shearer is my hero but I can't stand him on MOTD, like a few people said already the man adds absolutely nothing. Lineker is spineless, although must admit he went up a bit in my estimation when he was cracking on the other week calling every single one of the matches the biggest club fixture in world football after Ferguson's outburst. Don't mind Hansen and Dixon, I think they're alright as they actually offer something analytically whether I agree with them or not.

I've disliked BBC's Match of the Day coverage for a while, but it all came to a head during midweek when they showed our epic 4-3 loss to Blackburn last and without even bothering to send a proper commentator, ****ing disgrace.

Having said all this I far prefer the BBC to the monstrosity that was ITV's 'The Premiership' and I always keep reminding myself of this whenever I despair at the likes of Lawro and Garth Crooks.

That just shows how difficult it is playing a high lined attacking style like Arsenal, an amazingly strong defensive team like chelsea can get destroyed trying it, shows how well Arsenal have actually done to not get too found out for so long!

Just to actually put it into context.. I thought Gary Neville's analysis of the game, was much better than on MotD.. and Gary Neville is possibly the most annoying pundit on the TV I've ever seen.

The best one however is Ray Wilkins, massive knowledge of the game, and gives incredible insight and is pretty unbiased from the matches I've seen him help out on.

Perhaps you should get your tongue out of Jayram's arse and try to think for yourself? He is an anti gooner and you drool over his every word because you have no original thoughts of your owns.
