That’s why the signing of Dan James made no sense because his best position is on the left and yet he’s never played there for Leeds as he couldn’t dislodge Harrison. Agree with foolee. As we currently don’t have a decent LB at the club we could utilise James in his proper position with Harrison behind him. Otherwise buy a quality LB and sell James. We can’t afford to have a £25m bench warmer. He can’t play any other position and he won’t be taking Harrison’s place anytime soon.
If Raphinha stays I don’t think he’s as good in the JM narrow system. Harrison will get more width as a LB or LWB in the JM system, think it could work. Also, Gakpo plays on the left hand side/more central which makes me think in JMs narrow system it would be Harrison at LB, Gakpo as a LCAM and Aaronson as RCAM otherwise why are we after Gakpo.
Didn’t JM more or less ditch the narrow system ny the end? Looked like we played with more traditional wingers as we used to?
