Maggie's Boot Boys become Boris's Blunt Stick and certainly Patel's Poodles!

As someone who, whilst strongly critical of certain activities and certain senior personnel within the Met over 40 years, had respect for the Force / Service, this total subjugation to the political will of this corrupt regime, is the end of the road for me.
And I hope, for many millions of Brits. If ever there has been a time for insurrection it is now. Now or never.

Eton, Oxford, right-wing media (Telegraph), dodgy, opaquely funded think-tanks, Brexitard.
    Utterly standard.
Stupid enough to admit that the Tories wanted to destroy all public services, though.

    Just another Brexit Saboteur.
Oh, almost forgot to mention that he's an evangelical Christian, which explains this stance.

Good Law Project have already offered legal assistance defending the Police Summons. I imagine that they would relish taking a civil action against the repulsive lying Fascist Shill!

In 1989 the Thatcher Tory Government became so arrogant after defeating the biggest unions in industrial struggle, winning 3 elections and privatising BR, BT, British Gas etc that they brought in the Poll Tax and thought it was OK to brag that in their "fair society" a "binman would pay the same as a lord".

They referred to ambulance workers as taxi drivers in order to justify giving them a below inflation pay rise.

Then, for ****s and giggles, they exacted revenge on Scotland for being solid non tory voters by bringing in the poll tax a year before they introduced it in the rest of the UK.

Their arrogance continued until April 1st 1990 when the poll tax demo happened. When the old bill waded in they expected to again batter protestors with minimum repercussions as happened throughout the 70s and 80s . Instead they provoked the biggest riot in history along with the biggest civil disobedience campaign in history which arguably got rid of Thatcher who was seen as untouchable.

The arrogance and lies of this government make that Government look honourable.

At some point the **** will hit the fan...my worry is that sometimes desperation and anger can lead to rightwing scapegoating.

It is not inconceivable that we could see a resurgence of fascist groups like the NF (in the 70s) and BNP (in the 90s and early 2000s).

Prosecution wanted 30 years.- gets 20 despite not pleading guilty and dragging victims through Court! Mmmmm...
No 'clients' named or prosecuted (other than the French guy who also conveniently committed suicide(?).

Was she offered 20 to keep quiet? As she may well be 'committing suicide' herself one day in the next few weeks maybe it won't matter?
