That's fine, he does. Your initial response seemed to suggest you couldn't understand why he would feel upset because the club accepted the offer, as if that somehow mitigates his emotions. Everyone is entitled to feel the way they want about it, and it's perfectly understandable that some are more upset than others.
He was part of the second worst attack in the league last year. One which included a 13 goal winger. He may have been one of our better players but we finished 19th. Its a pretty low bar compared to where we're aspiring to be.
I'm sure your right, but after paying for London's cost of living, his bank balance will be somewhat dented compared to up here.
All this talk of announcements is really tedious, why can't people just be patient and wait until it happens
A number have been unofficially. Obvs official announcements will come when international clearances/rubber stamps are received.
Think what you like. The proof whether or not the transfer policy is the right one or not will be in the league position at the end of the season.
Indeed, also if he still has a girlfriend, who the last one I believe was from Hull, then if she is living with him, she may find it a bit lonely, which over time can be a bit of a problem.
Is it tedious? More just a curiosity, seems quite an unusual situation to have 4-5 players 'signed' but not announced. More curious than anything.
According to Tan he was only there yesterday to finalise the move. It had been held up due to change of ownership at Chelsea. I was referring to Allahyar, Traore and Tufan who'd agreed terms and having his medical today.
He made it clear he wasn't going to sign a new deal, and with only 1 year left we either sell him and get a fee or let him go for free? He wasn't going to be a starter and there was probably a new attacking midfielder coming in too so his minutes would have become limited. I like George a lot and I said many times last year that he was our most important player but we do need to progress
Fair enough, although he seemed to suggest Ally was signed ages ago. Just seems a bit strange, but oh well. It'll happen when it happens. If they're there and training I'm not too fussed.
They triggered his option to buy, so it seems that he was. Given who our owner is, there's a fair old chance they'll be looking to stage manage media announcements for maximum impact. Possibly when new memberships are launched?
His wage increase will more then cover it and let's be fair, I doubt the cost of living increase will massively effect people earning over 5 figures a week
