For me we will probably get one more and it might be Diaby. If so then it’s the best transfer window we have had in quite some time.
If we are to get one more of who we have been seriously linked with I'd want it to be him. Looks way better than Ekitike to me. If I had to pick a position that was priority then it would be CF but they are hard to come by. If we could get 30+ games out of Wilson that would be amzing
Agree. I guess if it was a toss up between Ekitike and Diaby I would be torn which one. But given the way Ekitike has acted I would go Diaby.
Just all the reports suggest they don't want to sell, the fee is high and he wants champions league football
Looks like they want a striker and an attacking wide player or maybe Ekitike was seen as covering both positions
They have just spent 17m on a striker so I don’t know if they have any money left. Buy £5m and they can have him. I think your Ekitike comment is actually sound. He can play anywhere in the front 3 so is probs the better option come to think about it.
Great. I'm gonna buy two then if it triggers rival fans into suddenly becoming Amnesty international campaigners...
Interesting that if you amortise Botman's supposed £37.5m transfer fee over five years it works oqut to £7.5m per year - coincidentally the sleeve sponsorship amount announced yesterday....
Diaby's a winger though innit, surely we need an out an out striker. Diaby looks OK, but Bundesleague is pretty weak tbh. Ekitike looks like he's had pound signs put in his eyes by his agent, need to move on, still well over a month to get a striker and he's hardly the only thing on the market.
So, so far our strongest team - ASM--------Wilson--------Almiron --Joelinton-Bruno-Willock------ Targett---Burn---Botman----Trippier ----------------Pope---------------------- Decent.
Wilson played 18 games last season, ie less than half, and no evidence that this season will be any better. Gaping lack of goal threat without him.
