Translation. Acun Ilıcalı, owner of Hull City: "Our scouts have been following Tobias Figueiredo for a long time. They insisted we get him, they said he will be one of the key players on the team this season. I don't know him but I trust our scouts."
Just checking it wasn’t just me… but did anyone else listening to Tan’s interview when discussing Seri think… - He came to see the city (err which bits!) - He checked out the local schools (oh f**k which ones) - He saw the training ground (ah b*****ks that’s it he’s not coming!!)
I didn’t stop going because of the Allams. I stopped going when the Allams stopped investing in the team. I hadn’t fully decided about this season but the Tan interview has convinced me. They are keeping their end of the bargain so me and my daughter will be back for the new season. will the west upper be re-opening?
Never understood the sterotypes about Hull "****hole, worst place in the UK" Sure, I haven't seen all that much, but I lived in Stoke for 3-4 years and fock me, way worse. Hopefully Seri thought it wasn't all that bad either
I’m fiercely loyal to Hull and think it is has so much to offer. I do live in Edinburgh though so I’m spoilt in terms of beautiful cities. Hull is getting so much right in pockets across the city but still think large parts of the city centre are uninspiring.
It really isn’t that bad. I’d pick living in Hull over plenty of other Towns and Cities I’ve seen over the years.
Plenty of examples in Italy, it's generally done as an FFP workaround. If a club is over the limit in a particular financial year they will have an obligation to buy the following summer put into a deal so the selling club knows they will get their fee, but the buying club defers the purchase by 12 months.
Here's an example, funnily enough in Italy. https://football-italia.net/official-monza-sign-cagliari-goalkeeper-cragno/ Looks like Everton (with FFP issues) want to sign Winks on a loan with an obligation to buy.
Yep, probably for the same reason. Also the reason they structured the Dele Alli deal (basically a free transfer with a load of add-ons most of which were very easily met) the way they did.
Could be the next Derby. Shows how we could be just a bit more competitive in the market than many would believe. Reading between the lines L**d's could be ****ed this window also. I know the focus is on incomings, but any one else find Tan's stance on Wilks to Wendies interesting? They probably haven't a pot to piss in either.
You're right, some things are so good and deserve huge amounts of praise but they seem to be carrying out these things with no real plan! Having worked in London for 2 days a week for the last two years I have looked at the state of the buildings on the approach to Hull from the train window almost every time and realised many people must be on a negative before they even set foot in the place. You then have smackheads and god knows what else all over the station and surrounding areas (like most stations to be fair) but if you can see past them and ventue on there are some great things such as Hammonds of Hull, the Bonus arena, the Marina, Humber Street, the Deep etc etc. I just feel like if you really want visitors to come to Hull and see what we all know is there if you look hard enough a bit of a clean up of the station, some proper security and a bit more sinage pointing out the great things that are out there we might start to see some serious progression towards getting rid of the lazy comments about Hull being a ****hole. Surely it cannot be hard to move these parasites on? I went to Coyles fruit stall the other day on my lunch break and was amazed by how many dodge pots were sat near McDonalds drinking, shouting etc. It must be terrifying for old people or kids. Lets hope Seri didnt come on Train eh (Back on topic just like that)
Hopefully convinced him that the water was just like that found in Willy Wonkas factory…’oh look what’s Augustus Gloop doing messing about down there’
