    A family favourite for a day out , leave early for the beach at west Wittering and if your lucky with the weather a full day on the beach but with the advantage of the sheltered grass area behind and always make time for a few beers in the Shore or the Lamb inn

    I'm adopted. Lived all my life until a couple of years ago as an only child. Have since discovered 11 half-siblings. I *think* I've found them all now!

    If I ever get "home" again my first two visits (apart from family cemeteries) are Soufend on the mud and a boat to the Trafalgar Tavern. Everything else is secondary.

    Great one,Vimhawk. I never knew my dad.Mum never told me and I didn't ask.She married my stepdad when I was 3. No happy memories from him!!!!

    West Wittering is a stone's throw from where we live in Selsey. From our house we have views over the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Moved here nearly nine years ago after a few years near Carmarthen - the south Wales coast - especially Tenby - was lovely. Both easily beat the rat race round London.
    When our children /grandchildren come to visit they never fail to get fish and chips to eat on the beach - just making sure the gulls don't steal too much.
