I think Nico was just trying to get infront of Lewis at the start and spoiled his tyres earlier than needed. Good race by both though, even if it was thanks to the Lewis-Massa clash.
Credit where credit is due today and that goes to Schumacher who quietly got on with the job and got a good 5th place, being close enough to Rosberg to jump him at the Pitstops.
michaels raw pace, are you taking the piss, he was behind Rosberg all the way until Daddy brawn ****ed over Rosberg, again, funny how it's never micheal that gets screwed. Rosberg should leave mercedes, orput on an outfit that suits his position, ie a gimp suit, as he is their bitch boy.
I'm sorry, but Schumacher was quicker than Rosberg prior to the pitstops. The only phase of the race Rosberg had the edge on him was the first stint. After he first round of stops, Schumacher just got on with putting in good, solid lap times, whereas Rosberg went to sleep as usual. Rosberg really is falling down in my estimations. He's like Mark Webber, he doesn't deserve the seat. To get beaten by a 42 year old repeatedly is just embarrasing.
A 7 world champion time 42yr old... You make it sound so easy to beat one of the best drivers in history?
Another great race for Jaime. Don't forget he is also the youngest driver out there. I personally hope he get's the RBR seat
If Jaime is able to beat Sutil to 10th (Heidfeld), I'll be mightly impressed by him. He only needs to get one 8th place and one 7th place and he would be on equal points to Petrov (9th) if he DNF's both. Abu Dhabi and it's long straights should be able to help him get higher up the grid but Brazil could be a different story.
I felt sorry for Buemi today. he was matching jaime, until his engine blew. Looks like both Toro Rosso drivers have matured nicely. I think one of them may be in either a williams or a renault next season.
Why would they want to do that? Their best chance is to be patient at Torro Rosso until there is a seat available at Red Bull.
But Red Bull seem content with the off colour webber in the second car. Plus they're trying to bring through Ricciardo and Vergne, so someone has to go somewhere.
Just managed to watch the race and I thought it was alright, the circuit seems pretty good for a new one and the race had a bit going on. Wasn't surprised to see whats getting talked about on here though, I guess that comes with that kind of incident, and being the biggest name in F1 in this country currently (As demonstrated by this forum and any media I ever look at). I'd like to call it a racing incident, but thats becoming a far rarer thing these days. Well done to Vettel, another impeccable drive. Well done to Button too for keeping up in a car that although similar in pace, is more than 2 seconds over a race off. Finally, well done to Alonso, its looking like that fancy new wing has brought some life back into the car and he's able to bring a fight to the front boys now.
Alguersuari seems to have thrown a bit of a spanner in the works. I think he was going to be the one to make way, but the 2nd half of the season he's been far better than Buemi and now has almost double the points. (cue BS about tyres and qualifying)
yeah yeah, but Hamilton WAS side by side, then he did EASE off, but Massa being Massa decided to cause an accidenty and purposefully turned into Hamilton. This is yet another example of Massa's driving this season, and not just with Lewis.
If no penalty was called then i think most would agree that was a fair verdict, but the precendets set earlier in the season means a penalty HAD to be handed to someone. Hopefully in 2012 everyone will calm the **** down!! The ex-drivers brought in as stewards were supoosed to be a good thing and were supposesd to stop these inconsistencies we have seen this year.
Do you think it's worth having two driver stewards next year to try and stop the inconsistent decisions?
Maybe the reason why Felipe got the only penalty was because Lewis already served a stop and go having to cha ge his front wing. Maybe the FIA have told them both if they keep clashing they will make sure to punish both in the future and make life for them difficult.
Maybe, but how many stewards are required to make a consitent and impartial decision? Should be max 3 as then you can have a 2-1 majority at worst.
