Links today to PSV’s 23-year old forward Cody Gakpo. Obviously I have watched some YouTube highlights and am now an expert. It could be an interesting one though.

He’s a right footer who predominantly plays on the left for club level, sometimes pops up on the right. Think he’s played as a striker at national level a few times. Has an absolute cannon of a right foot and also finishes off his left sometimes. Over 6ft so a good physical profile. Good dribbler, quick, has a nice pass on him too.

I saw his name linked with Leeds a few days back as a replacement for Raphinha so this could just be clubs and agents trying to force some movement in the market, but I think he fits a good profile for us as a flexible forward. Maybe one to watch.

21 goals and 15 assists in 46 appearances is nothing to be sniffed at.

But then again, neither were Vincent Janssen's stats. That's the inherent risk in signing from a vastly inferior league.

21 goals and 15 assists last season for PSV and he captained them on a number of occasions, too.
Looks pretty two-footed and he seems to take a decent corner.
Might be a cheaper option than the Premier League players we've been linked with.
Signed a new contract with PSV in January though and we'd be replacing Bergwijn with Bergwijn's replacement.

<laugh> 3 days after posting this and Hotspur Related are quoting a German source claiming "THFC target" Kamada is interested in moving to the Prem and could be signed for less than £10m due to his contract situation.

Not actually sure he's a genuine target at the moment but I think it'd be a very smart move from the club, especially if we're definitely not intending to re-sign Eriksen.

Played in both games v Wales recently. A big unit, 6ft 2ins, quick for his size with a good touch. Scored Holland's second in their 3.2 win in the second game. Played out wide, through the middle and a no. 10 role. Did well in each.

For his size, not great in the air but that can be worked on.

Could be good as Kane's cover and also in other roles.

Looks like we've moved on from pacey Ligue 1 wingers to pacey Eredivise wingers

Daichi Kamada reportedly keen on a PL move, and reportedly available for under £10m

The fact we could potentially sign Clausse and Kamada combined for what Boro are demanding for Spence does underline that English Tax is getting out of hand

Methinks this might need to be reiterated a few dozen times before July...

Don't be surprised if this involves some loan shenanigans.

Chris Wilder seems to think the Spence deal will happen. Says Spence doesn't wanna go back to Boro and wants to join us, Boro's hierarchy are talking with ours.

Probably still another two weeks away though, Levy's likely working on structuring the deal with a £10m fee straight up, £5m once he plays 500 games and becomes club captain and then the final £5m once an asteroid hits earth.

As for the Richarlison stuff, I've said already I think he's who we'll strongly pursue and now with the Winks stuff there's bound to be a few dots we can connect with the pair, can't say I'm ecstatic over it but it is what it is. Would've rather went big on Raphinha and signed a striker on top.

Could've also gone in ex-Spur but Bale's joining Los Angeles FC, been given a Here We Go by Fab. Til June 2023 with option for a further year.

Good luck to him, would've liked one final dance here but I guess the club weren't interested.

Bale joining Chiellini in LA, bit of a waste but can’t blame him wanting to live in LA and get some sunshine

Respectfully I think most people wanted the Bale that was, not the Bale that is. If he couldn't get a game for *that* Real team, then he's not the player we need now.
