Posters who are termed ITK will always have posters against them. If something changes last minute and what they mentioned doesn't happen they full of **** and if they get it right someone will say aye but didn't mention x,y,z minute detail so ya guessed and we're lucky! Basically they can't win! Also they not really ITK and I doubt most would call themselves that (its a term other posters give them. More accurate would be "Lads who get to hear bits and bobs from inside the club but aren't aware of every little detail" but the acronym for that would be a bit long
So are you that ITK that you know for a fact that hasn't happened? But I'm so pleased that you're that happy with the outcome you had to make that point
People come on to make a point, pretend they're not then slip it in anyway and vanish. It happens so often it must be the same person ... ... that's why you never see two on the same page
And no doubt no one is more happier than him that KLD and JS have increased their shares and that Methven has gone!
I remember that post rather than ignored it because it didn't fit a miserable agenda. I started posting, in May, that the general plan was an LD dynasty and, like your posts, that's ignored because there are people who detest the idea of anyone hearing gossip that turns out right. No idea why, no one is claiming to be KLD's mate or present at board meetings ffs. It may be that you heard from the same source as me although, tbh, I was told by a third party who didn't really appreciate my questions. That's fair enough, in reality it's none of my business
There are people sat waiting to pull people down that provide bits of info, lads that undoubtedly hear things have never from my memory came out and said they know " for a fact " that this, that or the other is about to happen. Its purely " I have heard this " take it as you will. When things dont go 100% as people have "heard" we get pathetic childish pricks signing up just to try and pull these lads apart. Its a forum for open debate and conjecture not a place to stomp your feet because somebody you have never met or likely to meet got their info wrong. All these lads said there was something going to happen and it did, I cant believe people can be that sad to sign up to a forum just to have a pop at someone who didnt call the shares scenario right. Only KLD & JS knew 100% what was happening. Anyway rant over, now that things have been settled most of them will drift off until their next opportunity arises, they never contribute in a positive way to the board so cant be real supporters.
The share split obviously wasn't agreed on the first offer, whether you're buying a mountain bike or a football club there's negotiation right up to the second you shake hands. It's possible Methven and Donald were both being approached and it was a question of who was the biggest clucker ... ... equally possible that no one knew the end game until the hammer fell.
Its the negativity and clamour for people to be proved wrong that I cant get my head around, they must have sad lives if thats what they resort to. I see people still jabbering on about SD still having shares, so f**k, I bought shares in the company I work for it doesnt mean I can march in and start telling the MD what to do. In fact he could sack me if I tried.
I don't even think the lads who post it end up being shown to have posted wrong info, I just think things change. Things change quickly in life, never mind multi million pound deals for football clubs, players or managers. Lads post what was being discussed as going on looking like might happen at that time cause it changes two weeks ago doesn't make what they posted then wrong it just didn't come off or happen that way in the end. Can i just say aswell that Bob who if he is the same Bob from over the road has completely dropped the cryptic side to his posts and is clear and easy to understand in what he says. I assume he now has the freedom to clearly post the info without worrying about repercussions and is a very good addition to this board off the back of that!
Totally agree. The issue is not with the people who hear snippets from various sources and are happy enough to pass it on. The issue is with the people listening to that and what their mindset is. If you take it as a bit of gossip then it’s all happy days. If you want cold hard facts every time and then it doesn’t come off you must be very upset with every newspaper article or social media post etc that you see. If Stewart Donald has a group of people he negotiated with, at the EFL stage and decided to post that on here or RTG, and then KLD comes in to hoover up his existing rights to buy shares, would people have a hissy fit and call Donald out as not being ITK despite being one of the parties directly involved?? Makes me chuckle
It's rare I hear anything these days, people I know well who were at the club now aren't. Last really good info I got was about Quinny meeting Martin O'Neil for lunch to discuss taking over as manager and the ridicule I got was staggering. Proved right in the end.
People must think players/agents/managers etc, live on big enclosed estates and never mix with the hoi poloi. I was once in an Irisb bar, in Cannes, with Liam Gallagher and Vanessa Mae ... ... didn't like either but they had some cracking gossip
Over the past few years, I have been involved in takeovers 3 times, each time working for the seller. I was involved throughout the due diligence process, providing info to data room, answering questions from potential buyers and even meeting potential buyers (on no name terms). Even then, the names of potential buyers were not disclosed and remained at board level. On only one occasion did I know who had had bids accepted. All the while, all kinds of gossip was going around the office about who it might be. Point is, very few employees would be ITK. I am sure there are posters on this board (and the other one) who get inside info, and should be able to share that info without being ridiculed. The reader, however, should take it as just that - a piece of info. Its a bit like getting a horse tip from someone who 'knows the trainer'. Useful info, but not gonna put a wedge on it.
That's how I guessed it would be mind. I know nothing, as Manuel used to say, but I always find it good to hear bits of gossip and hints on here. They are well meant and well recieved. On the club though, it's broadly as I was hoping, and for a long time. Stability, financial solvency, an idea about how to get the club moving forward properly and someone with a few bob to help with that and as a bit of a bulwark when we get it wrong. Looking at the Championship, there are a lot of clubs in it who would swap with us in a second, probably most. And probably a few in the Premier League too, where the streets might be paved with gold, but it costs the earth to walk on them.

great these new members like... i might have predicted the outcome in some round-a-bout way and i am fairly sure if i go back through my posts i could find some way to use them to point to me being ITK in some small way...the truth is i did not and i am not. those that did hear something let us know their was definitely some 'stirrings' in the board room so in that respect, they were indeed 'ITK', to then try and predict the outcome would be pretty futile as ANYONE WITH SENSE can realise that deals are never ever signed sealed and delivered until the very last detail has been covered and signed off, only then will 'names' start to be spoken about, those having a dig at lads who tried to offer some information must be truly sad bassa's, spending many hours and perhaps days and weeks trawling through posts just to find that one line they can quote out of context to try to prove someone wrong.
