Who said he’s a typical working bloke or did you make that up? Are you also suggesting anyone on decent money can’t have the interest of the workers as a priority? Interesting
No idea but if that’s the case is it possible for someone to move up the pay scale without selling out those his job it is to represent? Did you not find it strange Madley would ask such a question? Do you think he would ask say a politician with more right wing views if they are a fascist? Seems unlikely.
I was merely stating the fact that he said that about himself. Nothing else was implied. Madley was talking twaddle. He was called out on it. Don't be offended on someone's behalf. He was handed his arse on live tv by Mick.
I said similar to another simpleton on here. They seem to think socialism is about wanting everyone to earn less when it's about everyone earning more. There's a difference between earning a high salary and fighting for others to earn what's fair and deserved, against those syphoning off obscene amounts whilst lecturing to others why they shouldn't get what they deserve. If we had more people earning £124k per annum fighting for workers pay and conditions we wouldn't be in this mess. A point lost on the thick right wing dickheads who by definition are incapable of understanding the difference
But there's as many working class/left wing not wanting a working class man to earn that amount of money as there are right wing people not wanting it either. Divide and conquer.
Absolutely agree on divide and conquer. I’ve said it a few times before all you have to look at some of the media, including social, targets over the last few years. Nhs, teachers, the national trust, the RLNI the England football team!! Pretty unthinkable a decade ago but push a narrative and yeah division is achieved. Every time there’s a need for a distraction bring up the trans community.
Most working class people will respect and support someone they see genuinely fighting for the rights of others, without caring a jot about his/her earnings. It's only those who are looking to create a straw man that seem bothered about it. That's the real divide and conquer.
That's just people generally. Plenty of working class as well as middle and upper care about people. It's not exclusive to one class to care about people.
Yeah a couple of the charity’s I volunteer for has a total mixed bag, it’s nice to see how a good cause unites though… well unless it’s inter attack because some media **** has found an angle to push
I never said anything about caring. You mentioned working class people not wanting someone to earn that amount and I replied to that.
You're pushing a narr Respect, support, that's generally caring. You did actually mention the word caring in your post. You're just arguing about semantics rather than the point. Which we agree on.
Working class don't own being virtuous and good. Upper class don't own being pompous twats. Stop playing up the vertical relationships and stereotypes. It's what is used to divide.
