Hope this "takeover" issue is now put to bed once and for all because I don't understand current fans obsession with who owns what at the club. My first games were in the fifties and all I knew was that Bill Murray was the gaffer and the Club owners were Syd Collins and Ted Ditchburn. Who owned what percentage of shares was of no interest then and is of less interest now. I've always believed that these folk are simply custodians of our great club and they will each be remembered for different reasons by generations to come.
Totally forgot about this song, its a great tune. Played it a few times today and my 3 yr old has declared it his favorite song. My wife is delighted as she wasn't a fan of his previous favorite song 'Walk' by Pantera, which he'd insist on playing on alexa at least 3 times a day.
For some reason, can't guess why, he's ignored my quotes regarding what I was told about things becoming more of a dynasty. I'm not claiming to be super-ITK, I was told all kinds of things, some of which were totally wrong. I'm just emphasising your point that it was one of the options being talked about. I must have talked about KLD creating a dynasty and 'keeping it in the family' a dozen or more times and simply repeating what I'd been told. I wasn't told any details except that Storey and Crypto were fakes put forward to push KLD into buying the shares ... I posted that as well. This is one of the 'dynasty' quotes from June although I'd started mentioning it in May. ''The board is already heavily KLD inclined with directors involved in other family business ... ... there's not much room for new directors and MLD is already there. If this isn't a 'dynasty' situation, as I was told, I'll be quite surprised.'
I am enjoying my summer just as I said I would after the final, been a long time since we went into the summer looking forward to the next season. That league 1 was dreadful and hopefully we never darken its doors again. Been great just watching replays of the play offs and contemplating what is ahead. Now KLD has a firm grip on the club I really think good times are ahead. Just my modest opinion but I think we are going to give it a real go for the play offs as a minimum.
With KLD attempting to draw a line under this and wanting stability, should we close this thread now so that ownership is no longer the main talking point and we concentrate on the football - like it used to be. Any further changes down the line can be a new thread as required. Just a thought.
I personally like this thread, it's like people cracking on in a bar about football, life and everything in-between.
Went to see Pantera at Leicester Uni ... ... they lasted two songs before the place went up. For some reason there were loads of BNP there and the 'security' was provide by students. Me and my brother in law tried to battle it out but ended up legging it
I went to see em at Newcastle city hall… they blew the power and we got the 10 quid ticket price back and managed to see downset supporting
A tidy sum mind, not sure what that means to him and whether it was worth all agro once what he’s out in is deducted
