And that also sounds like a crazy way to run a rail service. The journey from Newcastle to LKC is about 3 hours, so why don't they get Steve, who lives in London, to do the LKC to Newcastle run earlier in the day, have a nice break then do the late Newcastle to LKC run ? Would save the expense of getting Dave back to Newcastle from London in the small hours of the morning. No wonder my rail card is so ****ing expensive if we have to keep paying for Dave's midnight cab rides to Geordie land !!
minus his traveling time to the station and back home on the clock then minimum 6 hours overtime waiting for the return train plus an hour for lunch and two fifteen minute tea brakes which come under the European work time directive to which we are still a member of, and his travel time back to London, thats around 25 hours in 2 days strictly illegal anymore bright ideas especially on the Edinburgh to LKC they would get more than Boris but not Beer Stamer he has more pies than Tom Thumb
