Make that goals per game. Pope is probably going to be number one whereas Bazza more than likely won't be. He's a twenty year old with loads of potential to be developed.
Pope is also 30, with no resale value and on far bigger wages, while being known for being really poor with the ball at his feet. He's an old school goalkeeper. That's fine and I think Newcastle are getting a reasonable deal, but it's also not what we were looking for.
You’d think he could glance at there accounts ? Or get his own accountant to just take a quick look. I appreciate that he would have taken their word for it but that kind of net spend doesn’t seem to pass any kind of feasibility test for a club of their size. But maybe I am just too used to our kind of budgets Leeds have spent 200m with no transfer fees received since promotion. But it seems like they have to balance that this summer with at least one big sale
So is that why Eddie Beach has chosen to jump ship and go to Chelsea? Maybe not but he clearly couldn’t see a pathway
No, he went to Chelsea because they have paid him ALOT more. He will never make it there, but its a money sport.
I wonder if the recruitment of that former Man City academy recruitment guy will actually limit our chances of getting city youth players? Might there be some kind of clause to prevent him using any connections he may have to potentially persuade any to push for a permanent move rather than a loan one? Just speculating. Or is it not something they could stop? Or is it pointless speculation because most would choose to stay there ?
I thought you needed permission to discuss terms. So they are open to negotiation but a fee hasn’t been agreed yet by the sounds of it ?
