In all seriousness , I would like to know what the voluntary release package is in relation to their current contracts . The company I worked for had , what Mrs j and me thought , very good packages . Heck Mrs j. Was to and thought i]of just going anyway . She was not interested in the 1 years package . so shortly after she decided to retire , they upped the offer to 18 months pay . No brainier !!! I took the 1 year package . As you know I support unions for various reasons , but not all release packages are bad . Release packages / Voluntary redundancy packages . In our company I’m pretty sure both meant the same thing .
