I’m not from Seaham, have never lived there, nor was I a weighman, a train driver or a pitman. I was also a goody two shoes who never climbed on the bowsers going from Boldon Colliery to Tyne Dock. It was dangerous man.

I didnt have any idea what to do, wouldnt let my Nana or Grandad near it, my dad came around and said dont worry, I am just going to have a look at it, he then yanked the zip down! I have never been able to figure out how anything so small could get stuck in a zip

I remember climbing through the fence of my local colliery rail line and going onto the tracks. We put six inch nails on the track and waited for the train to come past and cut them in half!! Focused the mind somewhat!! I was a little twat mind!!
