No matter what the final score, a lot more satisfied than last time Leeds met Cardiff at Elland Road

 

I was impressed with Leeds today, better team than last year. I can see you put a hat full on Leicester

 

We played well and I don't think anyone would have begrudged us the three points if we'd nicked it at the end.

Other observations:

McCormack's well out of form now and I don't see him scoring for a while (watch him score against Blackpool now I've said that!)
Lees was solid but needs to learn how to keep a header down and play it to the midfield more.
O'Dea was like Bambi on ice, as they say, for that goal. Awful.
Clayton and Howson could have got stuck in more.
We still need a captain at the back. Kisnorbo looked assured and I'd rather have had him than Dizzy Darren on the starting teamsheet.
Can we please not turn matchday threads into discussions about Boring Leicester.
Marshall was excellent.
Our crossing needs to improve. Straight at the first man 90% of the time today.

 

Thought Young Aidy should have got man of the match. Good solid shift

 

Just as i predicted 1-1 with two similar sides that are just not good enough for the auto spots this season, Its going to be a hard fight to make the playoffs but cardiff have had to build having lost a manager and some of their top players so as far as it goes they are doing well, Its the same old story with leeds , they are just not up there with the big teams. take a leaf out of norwich last season and the saints this season....that is how its done...

 

the only statistic that matters is how many goals each team scored what is it? lies, damned lies and statistics...

a draw was a fair result, yes we were put under pressure in the second half but we had chances too.

Totally agree stats mean nothing and at the end of the season it is points that count but I call it as honest as I see it and I do believe Leeds were far the better team today and we could have and should have taken all three points but there you go, another day we take undeserved points so it all evens out.

 

rustac what a bitter sad idiot you are does your carer know you are up this late.....this is a thread about today's game and not about the premiership. most cardiff fans know i say it as it is and its a fact that cardiff are building a team that had the heart ripped out of it, what is leeds excuse apart from bates raking it in as you gullible dwindling fans don't have the bottle to confront bates about the way he is ripping off you poor souls. cardiff have more chance of reaching the playoffs than leeds who always go to pieces in the business end of the season anyway, bates will make sure about that you can safely bet on it....

dai, i must say you have upped your act on the new 606, in general you give honest opinions on cardiff and swansea. i dont know about us having more chance than leeds of making the top 6, we didnt play that well today but got a point through a good piece of persistence by a young guy whos bang in form, as well as showing a bit of steel at the back when needed, marshall making several saves, so actually i take back what i said before, leeds created more chances and therefore 'deserved' 3 points, but i honestly think we dont have enough quality in wide areas, the only player in that team with any craft and ability to carve out chances to win games every week is whittingham, if ever we needed him to return to that form in that season when he got 20 odd goals its now. whilst conway and cowie give 100% and you know what you will get, more quality/ depth is needed in that area in particular - they have no competition at the moment and thats not a good thing at all.

mason is a willing runner but he's only filling a gap vacated by miller and gestede, earnshaw? i'm surprised we havnt seen more of him tbh, i know malky likes 4-5-1 but will that get us out of the division?


ristac, if you start criticising swansea you are fighting a losing battle, they're a whole league above you, bigger club or not . as much as i know some people wont like to hear it on here swansea are a progressive club, run with a philosophy which more teams should follow - they dont spend much on transfer fees, play good football and are holding their own in a league where teams who arent good enough get found out quickly, so fair play to them.

We never leave with our tail between our legs. We get bored of you arguing the same tired (incorrent) points and actually thinking you've won an argument. We only ever leave once the novelty of mocking you has worn off, which takes a while, because Leicester are so goddamn pathetic.

Your fans on the whole will also lynch someone for having an opinion anywhere outside of "Leicester are amazing, underperforming and will walk the league. Oh and did you know we have the best keeper ever?". So we stop being reasonable and just call you a set of ****s and poke fun. Every time.
