Uumm good point, I understand the latest pair to join the share hunters are looking at JS shares also.

if the club don't want to 'risk' opening the club shop full time why not outsource it? I find it unbelievable that a football club the size of ours can't seem to justify the cost of a fans shop, yet a small fanzine like ALS can open full time over the road, as well as run an online store, and a cafe from their outlet. Why not offer them the concession, then at least fans would know where to go to buy merchandise, weekdays / matchdays /matchnights.

 

ALS design their own gear, sell it online and in their shop, cook and serve food, orgainse travel to away games, write and print a magazine yet the club can't even open its own ticket office. It's absolutely mental really.

 

Sounds like a plan to me like, at least for a season...then see how the finances are and when the club stops leaking money they could review it again or if it is working ok then let it ride.

Deary me. Is that stuff not all sorted out with the security firm before the season starts? Seems a bit last minute scraping around for stewards close to a game. If assume that could put the actual match in jeopardy if we can't get the required number.

sorry I just meant if they bought JS shares as well as the Chuckle brothers they'd have a majority. Even without Methvens they'd have 54%.
