Later in the summer? Im obviously biased towards us of course and no disrespect to broadhead or Clarke, they won’t get into their respective teams. Spurs are going for it with their business so far and Broadhead will be way down the pecking order.
Spurs will probably be deciding what to do with Clarke in terms of offering him a new deal and loaning him out again, or just selling him. Conte might want a proper look at him and likewise Lampard with Broadhead. I think we’ll sign both regardless, like.
i honestly thought if everton were thinking of giving broadhead a shot then it would have happened last season when all the strikers seemed to be fecked at some point, most loans can be recalled if needed i think, clarke could use more game time to show what he can do, i would think an early deal for both where they will get game time while discussing new contracts would benefit all. in general it has been very quiet on the transfer front, couple of big name transfers agreed and a few players moving around but nothing drastic as yet...got to presume targets have been identified and possibly many talks have been held with players already, the club have a knack of keeping things nice and quiet these days and i am all for it..although a little 'sweetner' now and then would not go amiss.
I think they will offer him a new deal but I'd be surprised if Conte knew who Clarke was. I think he is all about the first team and spending cash rather than developing young lads.
I get the feeling we will do our business late again as we wait to see what falls from the PL cast offs
I said it last transfer window, I'll trust the recruitment the team to get it right again, the players we brought in had a massive impact on us getting promoted. So I'm more interested that we get the right players , not players right now. If we have to wait till the transfer window is nearly shut then so be it, I'd rather not but I'd rather have a player come in 3 games in to the season and then end up having the kind of impact Broadhead had than signing someone next week and not improve the team at all. I know we would all like 10 top new signings by next week so they can have a full pre season together, I'm sure the manager and recruitment team would love it as well. Thing is if they are what we want and what we need we won't be the only club after them. Although we think any player should want to pick us over any other championship club because we are such a fantastic club, players may look at it differently, geography I believe is one of the biggest factors especially for younger players. I do think we will bring in 3 top top PL loans as I think we have proved that we are good at giving these young lads game time and we end up with players for a season that are actually better than our level. KTF lads this recruitment team know their stuff they proved it last year, they'll get the right players no matter how long it takes
I really like what I've seen of this lad, I'd be happy if we signed him. Also, a player with the nickname Rudi is always going to be good for a song!
The whole of the Championship is quiet, very few deals. We're dependent, to a degree, on the decisions made by the PL clubs with Broadhead, Clarke, etc. Once that's done, and the PL clubs have made signings things will speed up imo.
If we are targeting premier league young lads I think we’re in for a summer of waiting again, aslong as we get the right ones in I’m okay with that they’ll all be needed to fill squad until the bigger teams get their signings over the line
I usually have a bit of football chat over the weekend but it didn't happen this time, I don't message people first. Anyway just had a text-chat with the Mag journo in the family. He says we've bid £5 milion for a PL player. That's a bit of a shocker, if true, but sets you thinking of who it could be. You have to bear in mind that he's been told this by another journo who could be in the pay of a player, club, agent who are just stirring things up. I know I'll get flak for posting but, too bad, I'll live. He didn't say it was 'in confidence' so there you go. I've had a drink btw and am in quite a melancholic mood, listening to James Taylor which is rare but he's really quite good tbh.
Big statement from us if that is true. I wasn't expecting us to spend much more than that for the whole window tbh.
Nooooooooo. He needs to stay. Seen a few people saying that the bid for Rudoni is because Forest want Dan Neil. Hopefully that's not true either.
