Off Topic Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all you guys, one and all, wherever you are, your special day to chill out and have a beer or two! (Keo, if applicable, you know who you are!!) After this past horrendous year or two, extra hugs in order, if you're able.

Special thoughts also for loved ones no longer with us.

 

I’ve got a banging headache, feel sick as a dog and looks like I’ve pulled a hernia playing golf last week…on the plus side my 2 year old granddaughter is coming to see me soon but the other 3 are up a mountain in southern Spain.
What he gives with one hand the bugger takes with the other lol. Oh and mrs mop is on a cleaning the full house mission, I can hear her cursing now, no way I’m helping, it my day lol.
To any other dads in a similar position today.. I feel you lads !!! Have a great one….

Yeah I've got a headache and the Runs so my dinner time bike ride and couple of beers is off .

Sat here waiting for a van to turn up and deliver whatever thoughtful pressie my kids have deemed to get me this year.


Needs to be quick though cos I'm away to catch a ferry in an hour as I'm in Germany all next week.



Thinking about it, I waited in for a van to turn up last Father's Day.

And it never did.



Nor the year before.




Sigh.

 

I’m in Germany at moment Ernie.
A few of us came over for a do
Unbelievable hosts, literally won’t let us pay for anything.
Friday night meal outside with …a free bar, Saturday dinner, sarnies…free bar. Saturday night huge party / BBQ/ live band…free bar. Tonight they’re taking me out for a meal and a few beers to make up for it…

Kids FaceTimed too so good weekend all in all. Hope your trip is as successful

I’d like to say my daughters took me out but I paid so I took them out!!
Anyway heard good things about barista on Newland
Disappointed tbh
Waited ages for food
Quite pricey
Not great service
And the food wasn’t up to much either

I went in sleepers yesterday for lunch and it was outstanding
And the bird paid!!
Which is pretty much heaven

 

Echoing those thoughts, lost my dad in 2005 but every day he walks beside me in my thoughts. Once a tiger always a tiger !
