What do you mean worse than Koch??!!!!
If a player plays for his national side at CB and we buy him, where are you going to play him? Oh let’s play him in MF and let him loose confidence actual play time etc. ffs
Who do you rate better, Cooper or Koch? I for one was fed up of square pegs in round holes last season, the new recruits are better than Bate and Klich, not be hard to beat them but Bate is still young don’t forget.

Think emu was referring Koch purely because he was used as a Phillips replacement last year… as we didn’t have any other dm’s at the club.

For the record koch has actually played for Germany as a dm.

whenever we played him as a centre back in his first season for me he was a bit of a defensive liability. Couldn’t get up to pace with the PL. Hopefully after 2 years now he’s adapted and becomes an asset.

Given both bielsa and marsch seem to like a left and right footer centre back pairing, Koch was really competing with lorrente rather than coops and It seems both bielsa and marsch preferred lorrente.

I don’t actually mind what he said this time. They don’t fill you with excitement and they wouldn’t soften the blow of losing Phillips and Raphinha.

I do not get the whole phillips thing. Bielsa made him look good and we can do better than him. He creates very little and is not that quick. If anyone offers over 30 million for him take it.

Entitled to your opinion bud… but of course they wouldn’t soften the blow, who has ever suggested they would - they don’t even play in the same positions. They’re strengthening the squad (we hope) in areas it needed strengthening and most fans are reasonably happy with them.

Both are young internationals with champions league experience. But apparently they’re not ‘proper players’.

Just another Needless cretinous comment from an annoying pr*ck.

over-rated showpony as a goalkeeper too.

other than that he’s great. <laugh>

What I don’t get is how fans can be either happy or unhappy with the new signings without having seen them perform yet. It’s understandable that we all want to get excited but as has been pointed out in many an occasion, a five minute you tube collection can make a player look very good or bad. With Rapha and Kp we know how good they are. It’s damn frustrating if they go

Referring to Koch in midfield. It didn't work. He was a square peg in a round hole. Roca is at least recognised as a defensive midfielder.

The whole squad was unbalanced because one man said everything would be fine. But he was a genius so what could go wrong.
We are signing players to play in their proper positions. We are not newcastle or a top six side so cannot compete with their money. So we have to go down the cheaper route and hope jesse puts the T in teamwork. Leicester won the league by being a tight knit squad and rode their luck. We are due a season that is not full of injuries. 17th place is not for us this season i am going for top ten and anything less i will class as failure. I am putting all my faith on jesse and his jeans.

Dortmund were after one of them (can’t remember which one) and they don’t often get their signings wrong so here’s hoping <ok>

We can always do better but putting that theory into practice has been the problem.

Surely area of mist concern now must be striker or lack thereof. Bamford May bag 15 this season but he may also continue to be a crock. Wonder is jimmy floyd keeping himself fit these days

Seems Notts Forest are in for Summerville, Sheff Utd also trying as well as 3 German and 2 Dutch clubs. Leeds need to do something as he is now in the last year of his contract and he needs football. He has hardly played this season due to the bollox of the first team but even he played twice as many minutes as Big Kev <laugh>
