Seems the Cucho deal is happening . I can only presume he kicked up a fuss and wanted to leave - be closer to home etc Or we are that skint that anyone worth money will go . Least it’s now - not August 31st.

Whatever the raison d'être I don't think we'll see Zinck back at The Vic. One presumes, without checking, that Olympiacos can offer Champions/Europa League football? I wouldn't turn the opportunity down, it would be wrong to frustrate the opportunity too.
Roy Moore (the 1881) is suggesting on twitter (in response to Louorns' concern that Watford will have only one senior striker - João Pedro aged 20 - when preseason training begins tomorrow) that a new striker will be announced on Monday and that this new signing will not be Afobe.
We've been linked with Aberdeen's Lewis Ferguson again. At £3m, probably the sort of signing we can expect.
There is still time for a late announcement, but it is beginning to look as if Roy Moore's optimism was unfounded. Some people (possibly with links to the club such as the podcasters) are trying to put a positive spin on selling Cucho Hernandez and the lack of any new signings. One person wrote on another forum that the Pozzos always sign 5 or 6 new players in the summer so there is nothing about which to worry, but I remember that Leventhal was told that Watford wanted their transfer business done by the start of preseason training. Am I alone in thinking that it is ridiculous that Edwards has to start preseason training (with little more than five weeks until the first fixture) without any senior forwards? Even João Pedro has not yet returned from Brazil. Why has he been allowed an extended break?
