I think that the most galling thing for me is how the **** do we progress? Anytime we develop a player or find a Raphinha the big money teams turn up. Do Man City need KP to win again next year? If they do will he think it was because he was the key signing? Part of the league I hate but I guess it’s being down with the dead men.

    Evening all

16 proportionate games for Jesse to prove himself, bottom 5 after November 12th and he’ll be shown the door, let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

Good luck KP it’s probably time to move on, Grealish and Foden have been very best buddies with him on social media we all know it’s coming

We went from an exciting top nine team to relegation fodder in nine months. THAT'S why Raphinha and Phillips are as good as gone! Call it mismanagement or lack of ambition, but when you're riding the crest of a wave, its a hell of a lot easier to keep your best players happy, and encourage top young talent to join too. Unfortunately, Leeds through Messrs Radrizzani, Orta and Bielsa decided to stand still and made two truly awful (in money terms) signings in James and Firpo. To cap it off, hardly anyone noticed that we were not at all sharp in Pre-Season, lost a lot of pace, and looked shattered.

Have more faith, I called it right most of last season, all the way back to pre-season, to desperately needing another striker (and obviously a couple of midfielders) all the way to Bielsa becoming a liability and needing to be replaced long before Radrizzani finally put him out of his misery.

The problem is that, that's the problem outside of the big six minus Spurs. None of us can technically progress as a team. We can move forward but you can't progress. Take a look at Leicester they managed to buy Marhez and Kante and the bigger club came for them. Arsenal was a feeder club to Barca in the Wenger Era. Sadly most Premier League teams are now auditions for 'bigger clubs'

Harrison will be sold, Gelhardt won’t start 10 games, Adams and Roca will spend as much time on the treatment table, Koch and Llorente won’t start 10 games together as the CB pairing, we’ll never that starting line up ever … Think my scenario is far more likely ;)

An owner with deep pockets certainly helps. Expect Newcastle to get close to the top six over next two or three seasons. We on the other hand can’t ever aim for anything beyond mid table. Philips and Rapha know that and that’s one of the main reasons they’re off

We've lost better and still survived, I don't rate Philips(there I've said it) over hyped by the Leeds through and through brigade. Raph is a very good player when he stops sulking. The other way of looking at it is how can we progress if our top players don't want to fight for the club to make us better. <ok>

The problem is that we will now never get 7 or above unless the big six or Newcastle implode massively. Even when one of them implodes they won't get lower than 7th. 8th downwards is anyone's game. We could see West Ham being relegated in 3 years let say if Moyes leaves. It's frustrating but it's true. All you need is a decent coach and a couple of good signings and you're flying.

Valid point borne out by scums worst points total in two decades last season and abysmal performances in most of their games. Yet they finished sixth I think. It’s a ridiculous gap

We’ve got weeks to go mate, I actually think we’ll have a far better starting 11 than the one posted by Ell

I don't expect the Barcodes to reach the heights of top 6. The only things you need are a load of money [pass] and photos of top FIFA, UEFA, & FA officials podgering each other, dressed as Nazis [fail].

Put another way, you can have all the money in the world, but if the game's officials come after you for FFP breaches, you're finished. Unless the right people are in your pocket, you've had it, & the likes of Chelski or Everton aren't going to help you out by giving you a copy of their insurance policy! <yikes>
