Pretty horrible start but we have nice runs over Christmas and a very healthy looking run-in. Edit: In fact, due to the mid-season WC, the Christmas fixtures are essentially a restart. That is a brilliant run of games to get the season back up and running: Dec 26 Brighton & Hove Albion (h) Dec 31 Fulham (a) Jan 2 Nottingham Forest (h) Jan 14 Everton (a) Jan 21 Aston Villa (h) Feb 4 Brentford (a)
Good restart after the World Cup: Brighton, Fulham, Brentford Got to hit the ground running after that seven-week break - and if you were going to change the manager…

Was just going to say that Christmas, New Year and the run-in stand out as looking okay. Aside from Leeds and Brentford, our first 11 look pretty tough (albeit on paper). Very important we don't start this season how we finished last.
Will definitely be going to Spurs away. Good news is it's definitely a 3pm kick off on the Saturday as TV games have been picked for GW1. Good away day to start the season.
Of course I know it will be a top half finish (!) but if not, that’s a decent run in apart from the Liverpool game. Let’s just hope not too much hags on it
Main thing for me is that we avoid playing the promoted teams on opening day, or in the first six games. In fact we don’t play Fulham and Forest til after Xmas when they will have lost their momentum, and then not until the last four games when they’ll likely already be relegated. Nice.
Will definitely go to Spurs in August, not expecting much but then I didn’t expect much back in February, and that turned out okay
Really difficult start with likely only max 3 points after 5/6 games, could mean Ralph doesn’t last too long into the season
We got 7 points from the corresponding fixtures last season, that would be a decent return from that lot tbh.
TBH, playing teams like United and Chelsea at home early on is a good thing. United will still be adapting to a new manager and a bit of a squad overhaul. They're not City and Liverpool. We can take points off them at St Mary's.
After the World Cup looks a favourable run on paper, not sure if playing teams who would’ve had a lot of players at the World Cup then may be beneficial. No idea how long the break between the group stages/first knockout is to the restart though
Our fixture list 2023/2024 . first 5 games Millwall A Coventry H Swansea A Cardiff H Portsmouth A Thought I would get in early.
