God bless you feller. You dumped United to come to us, and from the day you walked through the door we became a better team. Good luck in the future.
The mane of about 2018 was IMO a different beast of a player. the pace as certainly dropped a notch imo. 2018/19 was his best scoring season wasn't it? there should be some good youtube vids of mane at his peak for us cos frankly he was lightening. here is one
Fantastic player. Always gave his all no matter the form he was in or the job he was asked to do. Can't ask for more than that. Wish him all the best going forward #lfclegend
I'm a bit ambivalent over this. He's a great player and seems like a genuinely nice guy and on the one hand I don't want anything but the best for him. But on the other hand, there's always that devilish sense of satisfaction when a player's big move away turns out to be not as good as they expected.
Bayern expected to win title so not a huge achievement. As long as doesn’t win the CL then fine by me.
I don't really understand why any top player wants to play in that league - unless you're stepping up from an inferior one it's a backward career move . Yeah, so you win medals - but in your heart of hearts you must know that they're not hard-fought for, and they don't amount to much. Coming second in the PL is much more of a footballing achievement than winning the Bundesliga with Bayern - you just don't get remembered for it.
The way I view this is as follows: a) will never be subjected to an inane look at manes crack phone from 2018. what a guy stuff. b) I look forward to him building more hospitals with that 350k a week as thats the only reason he is moving. Money. go donate it all fella. you will anyway if we are to believe you are such a good lad so lets see how much good bayern's money can be put to. c) he's more of a legend than suarez but far less of a legend than gerrard. He was the only guy who stood up in 2108 cl final when salah went off. he's won the medal and he's off, look forward to nunez and saying saido who? next season
cracked phone. have you not seen the love in on how modest and hard working and dedicated to charity and his faith that comes up ever 3 or 4 months about mane. One time he was seen with a broken phone screen as he walked into a CL match form the bus. Ever since he's been portrayed as a man who have no interest in material things etc. mostly by people seeking to get their own publicity by posting about it. its complete arse really, the lad made a separate statement on charity and it was tied to the image and has been regularly circulated since.
Mane will leave as a Liverpool legend. What a player he has been for us. One of Klopp's first signings who helped take us from mediocrity to top 4 to winners. One of the best players we've had at this club. He's definitely not the same player he was back in the 19/20 when he was the best player for us so I think it is the right time to let him leave. No one should begrudge him a move - Liverpool is not the be all and end all for most players. Players are allowed to leave because they want to experience something new and try something different.
Just reading this article. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61645836 Found it interesting that whilst Mane scored goals, he didn't create much for his other striking partners. Just one season with 10+ assists.
