There will be hell to pay if we sell KP for £50m and dont buy more players, because we would have spent less than we made for KP. It would be seen as back to Bates days. No for me if we sell either of our valued players there needs to be a stand out player coming in

 

Before we were on the up and a good few players seemed to want to jump at the chance of working under Bielsa…..

We’ve just avoided relegation, we looked awful most of the season, we seem to have zero chance of top 6 it’s the rebuild season, I just can’t see why we’d attract this marquee signing but I hope you’re right

 

That’s true and seemingly is being forgotten.

 

Marquee signing can be someone over £30m to break club record again. When you look at Newcastle, Villa etc they are spending way over the £35m mark and Villa since promotion

 

I'll say it again, maybe Philips isn't as great as all the hype would have us believe, a good player of course he is.

According to some nobody muppet on Sky, yours lads were tired and were thinking of the beach and also you didn't have your regular LB in.

 

I’m not saying he’s one of the greats but it’s hard to deny that we lose far more games when he isn’t playing, which makes him more valuable to us, which accounts for our asking price.

 

If he just came back as a player I’d be delighted

 

Maybe London, but he hardly lit up the final few games when he did come back. I'd sell him for 50 or 60 and hope that we get in a good LB and striker.

 

Although Eire, he wasn't there when we needed him the most, I appreciate that he was injured, but it was the lads who were playing that got us into a position that gave us the chance to stay safe.

 

We had players who played over 60 games too.just saying

 

I will say Eire that I have been quite impressed by the way Ireland have been playing. I'm not getting carried away, but we seem to be trying to play football the right way.

 

I know, although you'd think that only the England players did.

 

Only watched 15 minutes in the second half, KP committed 3 fouls, 2 back passes and was standing behind the 2 central defenders when England were going forward. He makes Ray Wilkins look adventurous.

 

Phillips hardly played last season so what’s his excuse?

£50m for him would be great. He’s not worth that. It’s always been the case with him that he tends to lose concentration at vital times during games.

Good player but can be replaced with better for half that price.

Southgate’s ruined him.
