That's Burnley hanging around the championship then. They should never have sacked Dyche. It's like when Wolves sacked Big Mick... He would have got them straight back up.
Barca will definitely get help to service their debt. As the old saying goes, if you owe the bank 10 grand that’s your problem, when you owe them 1 billion that’s theirs
I remember reading an article about 10 years ago about how important the first 6 games in the season are for teams who may well struggle. Last season we achieved 3 points from our first 6 games which meant we were always going to struggle after that. It is vital that we hit the ground running next season. I'm delighted to see us making new signings this early, yes we'll more than likely lose KP or Raphinha (or both) but we can plan without them if the moves get sorted quickly.
Yes you would have thought that a good start is essential but then Everton came out of the traps flying last season because the fixture list was kind to them. Toffee’s after 6 games were 5th in the league on 13 points but would have gone down if Chelsea & The Scum had done their jobs properly towards the end of the season.
Price in Euros so around £11 million in total. Peanuts for a premier league player. Hope he’s good enough
For some reason, many portrayed our first six games as being the hardest in Leeds existence, giving them an excuse to get spanked by a crap manchester united team, a home draw against a shyte Everton team, a draw at Burnley, destroyed by Liverpool, draw at Newcastle and then beaten at home v West Ham. We should have pressed the panic button in pre season. It was obvious to some that we had major problems, and we urgently needed a striker too.
Deffo and the story is that Roca wants to play world cup for Spain and by having regular game time with plenty of his mates at Leeds will help the cause. He was on the verge of a Spanish call when he moved to Bayern…
So Rapha now wanted by arsenal. Bit of a come down there from his ambition to play at Barca. Won’t even get cl football
so we have to keep it quiet that we’re offloading Rodrigo and lorrente until he’s signed then seriously it hasn’t jeopardised those two but you’d think he’d get more notice in la liga. Maybe it’s part world cup profile and part wonga!
Evening all I will reserve judgement on the new signings until we have seen what they can do, on paper Firpo should have been better than Alioski, Dan James, Rodrigo, Augustin, Kiko we have wasted a whole lot of money, on paper they should have all been better than they were. We know Phillips and Raphinha can play in the PL they are also settled in the UK and they are not Mickey Mouse Internationals, they play for the 1st and 5th best teams in the world according to FIFA, replacing them won't be easy. The three signings are promising, if we lose both Raphinha and Phillips then without a doubt we are still going to be weaker going into the new season. I can't see a magical marquee signing happening if I’m being honest, I’m just hoping the three so far and the next ones in prove to be shrewd moves
