Talk hotting up regards Eriksen Amazing quality purchased so far if all this goes through Conte isn’t here to sneak top 4 or to win the league cup
True but in a rare defence of Levy, I do think the £150m 'war chest' we are now working with is the result of the new stadium, plain and simple. It was the money that was always intended to be available for squad investment, but Covid made it impossible for two years and just so happened to coincide with the period when our squad was at its absolute weakest so a lack of CL money meant we were miles off of our rivals financially. I think we saw the first inkling of the new levels of investment in Poch's final transfer window, when our net spend was an unprecedented £100m+. We spent it expecting a sustained rise in revenue, then Covid kicked us in the teeth a few months later. For my part, Levy and ENIC's financial decision-making has been vastly improved since the stadium move. The far bigger problems have been footballing decisions - who to buy with the money, who should sit in the dugout. Levy has never been much good at either, but with Paratici and Conte in place, it appears we are seeing vast improvement in this area too.
A few more quotes from the Brighton faithful - Reasonable deal in my opinion. One year left on his contract, player keen to move on, we have good replacements, and it wasn’t bloody Villa. - Thing is though, Biss is a £50m talent. At least he hasn't gone to mid table mediocrity like Villa or the Saudis. If £25m is true that is a bloody STEAL for Tottenham. - 1 year left and the transfer pendulum swung. That said we got a record PL finish with some fine performances from Biss this season with a transition to new capable players firmly laid down. Still, that’s a bargain for Spurs, he’s a great fit for them. - If it happens bentancur. Hojberg, Skipp, Biss - which the potential of Christian coming back it would be a good midfield. Not forgetting the generational talent, Harry Winks - Bissouma being off was the one I had already long accepted - just thankful it's looking like being a Champions League club under a world class manager and not a Villa or Newcastle, which would've been a crying shame. A fee in the region of £30m feels realistic given the contract situation, although I'm sure we'd all love £50m.
Agree with everything CK just said. Gotta tip my cap to Levy, this really does feel like a “Hey, Fabio, here’s £150m, make **** happen” feel about this. There was somewhat of ‘will he, won’t he?’ vibe around the place when Paratici was appointed, was Levy really going to relinquish so much footballing control to his new DoF? I’d say based on the last 12 months, the answer is yes, he really will. Signings being made before outgoings, good signings too, managerial appointments and some turnover of recruitment personnel says Paratici is 100% in control of Tottenham Hotspur the football club, if Levy continues to focus on Tottenham Hotspur the business, it should in theory work out very well going forward.
I'm not surprised that Man Utd are interested. If we were to get this and the returning Dane over the line, then the two clubs' options would be: Spurs: Bissouma, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Eriksen, Skipp. Utd: Fredtominay. I don't want us touching him with a bargepole unless we're sure he's not a sex case, though. If there's anything remotely true about his accusation, then we should steer well clear.
I imagine someone like Levy will have done his due diligence on that. Don’t they have someone on their board who worked for us? I’m guessing Levy may have better info than most due to that link
Ornstein’s said Spence wants to join us, prefers a move here over other clubs (sorry Forest fans). No agreement yet though but talks continuing.

Now all we need is to somehow thrash out a cash + Nom Belly deal for Paqueta, at which point Paratici will be accused of witchcraft
Financially, how should clubs X and Y deal with it ?? If a conviction occurs, then no doubt a club will get rid. Would it equitable for Y to pay a : 1. minimum "take it off your hands" fee F1, equal to the cost that X would incur if forced to get rid 2. an additional adjusting fee F2, if the charges are not proved (F1 + F2 being the true transfer fee)
