I don't recall anyone saying Nunez would sign, I seen lots of people saying there was an interest and just about every mainstream media outlet confirmed this. Will Paqueta sign? I'm guessing there's only a handful of people know this for sure one way or the other, I do however find the story that we're not doing it till Botman deal is done so Milan don't get 15% sell on clause a bit far fetched like.
I don't think we'll ever agree on this as there is too many parameters to judge him on. The only one he did as well as him on was the league position one. I'm sure you will state that is the only one that matters but that was with ASM, Willock and Joelinton. I would say that Bruce took a well oiled, well drilled squad of players and there wasn't one player richer for the experience - they all digressed a huge amount. I would also say when you add Willock, ASM and Joelinton into the fold -Bruce should have done better than he did.
That's not the same. It's litterally the price of a player or 2 and one or two may or may not come to fruition
No because he said 60 to 80 plus sales and nufc fans jumped on the most unrealistic part and sit waiting to strike. He's said 80 to 100 what's wrong with this amount?
Said it loads people don't like what they don't like hearing, but 80 to 100 is a good amount and it'll be about right. The Jan player bingo shoes how delusional this board alone is
True but it's not exactly ITK is it. Anyone would have guessed we'd spend over £40-50m and most reasonable people (so not the minority of our fanbase) aren't actually expecting us to spend like £150m+. If I'd had to guess I've have gone with similar, though slightly less, than the January window. Why? Well in Jan prices were inflated, plus the fact we spend that money makes us spending big now less likely. What you have said a number of times which is 100% correct is that the figure doesn't matter - it's the level of the player. Burns, Targett and Trippier all cost £12-15m and are massive upgrades for us.
He didn't at first. He stated £60m tops. Then he does what he always does and chenged it to £60m-£80m plus player sales which is nowhere near as **** and click baited as much as his first story. He was on a YouTube channel trying to defend his story and was making out we would have an additional £40m selling off out ****e. Where the **** he got that figure from I'm guessing he adds a 2nd player on Footy Manager who has a huge budget like PSG and sold the likes of Clark for £10m a pop.
Personally, I think Bruce was the worst manager of the Ashley era. We had Keegan, Kinnear, Hughton, Pardew, McClaren, Benitez, Bruce. I'm not going to include Carver, the man was never appointed he was just left to linger. While McClaren saw us relegated, I think the football looked a lot better under him and in my opinion we were certainly going to finish rock bottom in the league under Bruce last season, we were probably one of the worst teams I've ever had the displeasure of watching. Derby and Sunderland lowest ever points tally bad, useless in every single section of the pitch. It's got nothing to do with fan's disliking Bruce either, that's a ****ing cop out, Pardew was booed when he came out first time. He finished 5th the following season and got us to a European quarter final. Bruce saw regression in every single section of the club, his interviews were a disgrace, he clearly hated the fans and would shoot his wife to make himself look like a victim. Horrible worthless **** imo.
Okay - So that's £80+m NET investment a year, plus player sales, plus sponsorship money, corporate money, ticket money, tv money and prize money, So if that's what you're going off - which you are. You're still miles out on £60m
And this Ultimately fans just simply don't like the sound of it and dismiss it. I think it's a good amount... Why are people so obsessed with proving nufc will spend more than 250 over 3 years? I haven't told you Staveley did
