Driving my mate home earlier on and some arsehole kids decide it’s funny to throw bricks at passing cars doing 50mph!

I’m not the only one they hit. Someone else posted an almost identical photo from exactly the same place a little while after

The police will be along shortly.

They'll tell you they aren't allowed to do anything, but will offer some counselling If you are upset, and possibly a crime number.

They might also keep you updated on their inquiries into what had upset the stone throwers so much in the first place, that they felt compelled to try and kill innocent people.

It’s time we showed zero tolerance to the behaviour of out of control kids. Everyone I’ve spoken to agrees that this “ let’s not punish them , let’s engage and talk to them “ idea is not working. No one wants a medomsley detention centre situation again , but surely discipline and retribution must return

Quick update. The police took a look and couldn’t find them.turns out there have been at least another 4 incidents where cars, doing at least 50mph, have been hit by what looks like parts of a paving slab. 3 like mine with broken windscreens.

No doubt the police will simply do nothing until the little pricks kill someone. Literally left me a voicemail saying they couldn’t find anything!

One day the public will find scum like these before the police do . And the police won’t like how the public deal with them

Yep. And then the police WILL do something, ...to the people that actually DID something!

I was painting a house in Castletown for a private landlord and was waiting for a lift home on the step. Seen 2 kids throw bricks at a car windscreen. Car stopped and the bloke that got out was built like the Incredible Hulk. Kids nearly **** themselves and ran off, but he ran after them, they got away as they knew back alleys etc. Would have served them right if he caught them. Saying that bloke would probably have been the one who got done by the Police if he did.

Too right . The kids are real “ grown up hard knocks” when they get away with it .But if they get tonked by an adult they’ll quickly accept and hide behind the “ poor vulnerable helpless child who was attacked by an adult” status that the police and apologists will attach to them

Another recent incident in Seaham reported on Seaham have your say , in the last few weeks it has been buses that have been targeted with a bus driver being hurt . Passengers have also been hurt , what the hell is going on with kids carrying out these attacks . Prior to this they were setting fires in the parks and denes now it’s escalated in to the throwing of bricks at buses - what next ?

What next ? We always wonder if things can get worse , then they do .
I cannot comprehend how people, especially kids, can wake up , or when they gather later in a group have nothing more in their tiny minds than “ how evil can we be today “
Why? Probably no one reason . Poor or couldn’t give a damn parenting, no discipline, no judicial punishment, the internet and likely more. Whatever , it needs addressing now , or I believe we will have a serious national problem that grows out of control and our streets will be ruled by feral schoolchildren. The first duty of govt is to protect its citizens - are we really going to be a country that has to plead our leaders to protect us against children ?

Even if we caught them, the system dictates that we can't name and shame them 'for legal reasons'. If the car owner had got out of his car and twatted them, he'd be done for assault, when they should be done for attempted murder. Our legal system is a f*cking laughing stock!

same thing happened to me in fence houses a few year ago, was taking the dragon to work...went and got my lamping torch and searched the fields, they were gone of course but i figured if they thought someone might actually get out and search for them they might stop it.

we also had a couple of lads prowling gardens...we collared them and they were all mouth so one of the lads give one a slap, next thing they started with the 'big man hitting a kid' sh1te...cant win these days, mind no cops turned up this time but another lad got done for slapping some drunk six foot plus kid who was basically in his face and ready to start swinging.

they know they will get away with it so no deterrents.

It’s because they get away with it. In a few years they will be adults and on the receiving end. Then the pendulum will either swing the other way or society will deteriorate even more. On the plus side, there are still a lot of decent, respectful kids about and it is this that gives me hope for the future. Not that I’ll be here!<wah>:(.

Trouble is - if someone in authority even suggests taking stringent action he/she will immediately be on the wrong end of scathing criticism from the media, churches, social services etc.

Sadly that is the case so the minority dogooders and apologists will happily allow our lives and communities to be spoiled by feral children. We need a way of showing that that person/s in authority is backed by the overwhelming public support of people who are fed up with the soft soap approach to retribution
