FA have asked for no matches between the top 6 on the final weekend before the world cup. Will be having a flutter on a few upsets that weekend for sure.
Maybe I'm being a bit dumb here, but I don't get it - So what about say Ward-Prowse or any other player outside the top six that is selected for England?
I’m secretly hoping sea levels will rise and Qatar will be under 20 foot of water by the weekend before the WC. **** this bullshit, we should be watching the WC now, in a country where football actually exists.
Joking aside (local rivalry and all that)... really feel for their fans (as I did for Cov's) ... they are a 'big club' and merit some serious investment from committed owners rather than opportunistic Cowboys.
I'm not against the concept of broadening the appeal of the game to a wider world audience ... but the whole Qatar thing stinks worse than a seriously unwashed fanny.
I don't think a week is anywhere long enough anyway tbh, 8 days between the last PL game and England's first WC match is crazy imo. They should just sack it off and have an extra midweek round in the second part of season. Think those last 4 weeks or so before it finishes is going to be really interesting though to see how at it players are.
I'm quite looking to the winter world cup and different vibe tbh. Something to distract from the Christmas hype too.
you must want about a third of the championshjp / premiership to go bust if cheating financial rules is the criteria
What a load of cobblers You're all just crying coz you can't get pissed and hold hands with your boyfriends You'll be cheering on the Qataris from Manchester next time they play anyone you dislike
Yep. Plenty of clubs had to be stepped on to let these teams have their sniff of glory. Ask Wycombe fans about Derby. Wycombe may never get the chance again.
Australia v Peru just kicking off. Winners to qualify for the World Cup Watching on Bein Sports 1 English.
The games's being played in Qatar and atmosphere is great Loads of Peru fans there banging their drums etc.
been happening for years and still going on after all Burnley are down while Everton are in the PL . You lot just hate Derby because of Clough and Franny Lee battering Norman Hunter
please log in to view this image Chris Kirchner has withdrawn his bid to buy League One side Derby County. BBC Sport understands Kirchner took the decision because of the difficulty he has had transferring funds to the UK. Derby's administrators are actively talking to other parties in an effort to find an alternative buyer. The Rams, managed by Wayne Rooney, were deducted 21 points during last season, finishing 23rd in the Championship to drop down to League One for the 2022-23 campaign. American Kirchner was named as preferred bidder in April and granted exclusivity over the process. Contracts were exchanged last month, but delays were encountered over completing the takeover, which was initially due to be done by 31 May. SURPRISE SURPRISE
