Like most other expatriots on this board I can't afford to get to as many matches as I would like to, and so can't keep in track on what is actually going on as well as those of us who see every match in the flesh. From the sound of it we had a little more creativity in midfield yesterday from the Prince - is the Prince - Hogg combination our best available midfield at the moment ? (What we have been waiting for) and what should happen when John Eustace is fully fit again ? Also, should Lee Hodson retain his place even when Doyley is fit again ?
Think you have just posted what a lot of folk are thinking Cologne , If the reports of yesterday are anything to go by then answer to both questions seems to be yes! At the very least give them a couple more games and see how things progress!
On yesterdays performance both Buaben and Hodson definitely deserve to stay in. The Buaben-Hogg combination looked very effective and Dyche may have to make a tough decision and leave him out if they continue in the same vein over the next couple of matches. Hodson looked refreshed yesterday and offers us much better options going forward than Doyley. The only change I would make from yesterday, if I could, would be to replace Forsyth who, though improved, is still a weak link. Not sure who would replace him really though...possibly Deeney.
I think it's really hard to say. We have McGinn, Buaben, Hogg and Eustace...all of whom could start if they are fit. I think it wouldn't be unreasonable to play 3 of them in the centre, with Yeates and Sordell on the wings and maybe Iwelumo upfront.
Prince looked to good to drop eustace will come back in i would hope for hogg when he is fit Hodson looked very good on sat so Doyley to bench and I would start Beatie up front if possible with Sordell.
I'd leave eustace out, prince energy covering the whole ground tackling winning the key set pieces etc- in fact i think he changed my view a bit from sack dyche to see what dyche does next. I wouldnt put eustace back in the team , hes been superp for us but he has lost a yard
Annoyingly I think that the worst players were Forsyth and Yeates. I would give Whichelow a chance on the left and maybe try Murray on the left. Its got to be worth a try.
Yeates was much improved..i'd keep him in. Forsyth can be up and down..good games and not good games...if we swap anyone, i'd swap him...
I just think that yeates gets too central and leaves the winger in space, also his deliveries were a little off. But its only a maybe to drop him. I would happily swap CF for Whichelow.
See i dont think Eustace should come straight back. Give the team we had yesterday for a game or two and see how we do. I do agree about CF though.
