You could try Leeds Beckett Univ campus on Otley Road. Entrance is via St. Chad's Drive. Headingley is 10 mins walk, at a decent pace, but highly recommend checking availability first.

Well, just goes to show what I know, I said I wasn't convinced of Pope at number 3, and then he hit an amazing 145.

    You and me both!
Slightly different tack, anyone not convinced by female commentators in cricket should listen to Isa Guha, really excellent. Knowledgeable, nice light touch and very engaging.

A really good day for England, after the first innings total set by NZ, the reply has been excellent. Root is in a different class, and it seems the relinquishment of the captaincy has freed his mind to concentrate on his batting.

Great credit to Pope, he batted beautifully. Less so for Stokes, who seemed to go gung ho with the bat after a good start, which was rather reckless, considering we were still 150 odd behind at that stage.

Hopefully can get close to parity.

root's latest innings lifted his average into the 50s. 10191 runs and 203 outs for an average of 50.20.

it's also taken him two places up the career test runs list, passing sunil gavaskar and younis khan, into 12th place.he's 736 runs behind 11th place, so further passing will have to wait.

160 needed in the last session, 6 wickets left. Will Stokes go for it?, not sure yet. It's great stuff.

Stokes and Bairstow just took 43 off the first 3 overs after tea. Probably safe to say they're going for it...

Brilliant hundred by Jonny Bairstow. 7x6s so far. If he can stay there with a hobbling Stokes, we may just reach the required total. Great to watch.

Absolutely fantastic knock from Jonny B. Hopefully Stokes can play through the pain and see it through now. Plenty of overs and 5 wickets to get 27 runs. Don't blow it!

stokes is two sixes off becoming the third person to hit a hundred sixes in tests. new england coach mccullum leads with 107 and gilchrist got 100.

after today's effort he is on 99..
