I have no problem with people’s right to protest peacefully; however, when the protest is not done in a manner related to the issue, surely those being affected by the protest have a right to continue about their lives. When peace campaigners protested at Greenham Common in the 1980s they were only disrupting the lives of those who lived and worked at the RAF base, not ordinary people trying to go about their lawful business or activities. While these mongrels want to glue themselves to the M25, I would let the truckers just run them over. When they glue themselves to tube trains or buses, just drive on.

At no stage were they claiming refugee status – they followed due process just as others should be able to do under a controlled immigration system. Those crossing the Channel in dinghies are trying to evade the immigration system as lawful applications would probably be declined. Real refugees trying to enter the country would not be destroying any means of identity in their possession because such identity would speed the asylum process and see them granted refugee status. The chancers being trafficked should be sent to Rwanda, not four star hotels; as this will hopefully deter the traffickers in time.
