Reputabley a complete arsehole at Watford , there's arseholes and there's arseholes and this one is supposed to be a big one , ok if he is doing it to other clubs players but if he's carrying on in the club and acting Mr billy big bollocks I wouldn't want to upset what looks like decent chemistry the team has

I doubt that Lampard wants rid of him. Without him, they'd have been relegated weeks before the end of the season.

He's a current Brazilian international and the best player at that club by a considerable distance...but they have severe FFP problems and he wants to play CL football, not fight relegation again next season.

Richarlison is a complete bastard and will come into the club with a point to prove. With all the games we have and 5 subs he’ll get plenty of chances and it helps that he can play across the frontline and is also aerial threat. The fee seems big but it’s just what it takes to prize a mid-table club’s best player away from them these days.

I’m in favour of this and I think it’s pretty much our best option for a PL-experienced, flexible attacking option.

I am hoping that Richarlison is one of Paraticis spinning plates and that he is a target but not the main one and this is out there to show Jesus that we have other options as I think he would be a much better fit.

Personally Djed Spence and Richarlison wouldn’t be my choices but if Conte wants them then I want them at Spurs

I know Paratici has been given a free hand on who he signs , No way Levy will allow him to sign a sub for £50 million

Conte is a very good coach. The evidence that he is good at player recruitment is a bit thin.
There is no reason why he should be...they are entirely separate skills.

Am I the only one that thinks that Richarlison is a very Conte player?
Works hard, scores goals, creates, hates losing and is a master of the dark arts.
I can see exactly why we'd be in for him.

But surely that is what we have Paratici for, he is the recruitment specialist

Indeed. Conte should definitely have an input and there isn't much point in signing someone he doesn't rate, but he should only have a veto, he shouldn't be able to insist on particular players unless he has coached them before

I think Paratici is very much in charge of transfers, especially the actual personnel.

Could be wrong but piecing small bits of info together, I think the way it works is Conte lists the positions he wants strengthened and Paratici then goes out and searches for the personnel in those positions that he believes best fits Conte's profile. Conte may in some cases list a certain player, rumours are Perisic was who he specifically wanted but in general I think Paratici is the one who decides on the person once Conte states the position.

Just the other day there was an article that said Paratici turned down any chance to sign Dybala on a free because he doesn't feel he fits Conte's system (few other Prem clubs have supposedly done so too). Didn't mention anything about Conte himself wanting or not wanting the player.

Hes got a winning mentality…you see that in his performances for Everton.

He would be fantastic for us…we are a big club with bigger characters than him so I expect him to stay in check at Spurs tbh.

His skill set will elevate our team

when he scores for us he will celebrate with our fans

I'm not a fan of Richarlison at all as he is a complete bellend and highly overrated. Certainly has ability and works hard but he is very easy to defend against and most competent defences (our own included) nullify his threat pretty easily.

I'd only be interested in this if Winks moves the other way and brings the asking price down by at least £20m in the process.

There are also rumours that we've grown frustrated at Ajax failing to match our evaluation for Bergwijn and we are prepared to use the Dutchman as a bargaining chip for Richarlison.

Not the first time you have had this situation.
Sometimes you just have to ask yourself is he worth the wages we will be paying him before he walks away on a free transfer at end of contract.

The consensus within the club - and indeed among most Spurs fans - appears to be that he is an extremely talented player with a big future ahead of him. The trouble is, due to injuries and the impossibility of ever unseating Son for any significant length of time, he's never really had the chance to knuckle down and develop with consistent game time.

Many on here have criticised Conte's insistence on bringing on Lucas instead of him, but that particular sub tends to be for Kulusevski and in all honesty, Bergwijn isn't as good on his weaker foot as Lucas, nor does he track back as well to cover Doherty/Royal, so unless Son or Kane need to come off or get injured, he doesn't tend to feature.

His international form (4 goals in 4 games this year) shows that there is a player in there. I feel there are plenty of players we're happy to sell for well below their optimum price. Dele was one, I think Winks, Lo Celso and Ndombele will also go for far less than we might have liked. Other players though? I think it is right to dig our heels in over some. Accepting paltry offers for the likes of Bergwijn, Royal, Rodon etc. isn't sensible.

I agree with pretty much all you say here, my post was about when you decide you have paid enough wages and held a player back long enough to accept a lower sale price.
